Wonderful Wine & Cheese Boutique coupled with a great Wine Bar.

Cheese maker Nancy Bergman and sommelier Kyle Frey never fail to impress with the quality of their products and hospitality. Ms. Bergman makes world class soft ripening cheese which she kindly permits me to sell in my store. They are all great but my favorite is the Grappino, the most full flavored of the bunch. The wine selection curated by Mr. Frey is thoughtful and holds many delicious surprises from all over the world.
They also have a wonderful wine bar named “Remedy.” The couple holds theme based dinners based on the cuisine and wine from various viticultural regions. The last one was from the Savoie region of France and there was exquisitely melted Raclette Cheese everywhere. Needlessly to say the 6 or so wines were perfect and though I’ve been in the wine business for 30 years (7 of which were in France) I was surprised to try wines that I’d never heard of.
Jacksonville, Vermont is lucky to have them, I’m lucky to have them 20 minutes away.
Reservations strongly recommended!

A refined pearl in southern rural Vermont

Been coming to Nancy and Kyle for close to 4 years now and to their World Class Wine and home crafted Cheese shop. I am continually visiting the New Remedy Wine Bar since it's Grand Opening last year. Gastronomic culinary delights and renowned unique wines from around the world that tantalize and satiate the palette like no other this side of the Pond. Combine that with Nancy and Kyle's heartfelt hospitality and superbly orchestrated ambience creates a bohemian atmosphere that you will cherish and remember fondly, at least that how it is/was for me.

Delicious Cheeses

My husband and I visited this creamery on the recommendation of internet reviews, and it was wonderful! The ambiance inside the creamery was lovely...very cozy and warm. Nancy, the owner, makes the cheeses in-house and uses milk from local dairy cows. She did a great job explaining how to make various types of cheeses, and how to mold the cheese into different shapes.

Unfortunately, when we visited, they only had two cheeses to try (busy weekend...they were out of everything else!), but the cheese was so good, we still ended up going home with some!

They're going to open a tapas bar/winery soon as well! The setup for that was a continuation of the cozy ambiance permeating the creamery side...this is going to be a great place to hang out once the winery opens up!

Wine, Cheese, & Passion!

Nancy and Kyle are hospitality professionals to the highest extent. From the warm enthusiastic greeting upon entering, the passion for their hand crafted cheese and knowledge of their wines, the overall service, to the ambiance of the quaint shop that fits perfect in the Vermont landscape, Spoonwood Cabin Creamery is a cant miss. Well done to these two, cant wait to be back!

We now go to Spoonwood regularly when we come up to VT. We sample new cheeses, buy our favorites along with a recommended bottle of wine and bread...and we're happy! It's always an enjoyable visit...warm and fun. Can't wait for the wine bar to open.

Cheese and Wine in Vermont’s coziest creamery

Run, ski, snowboard or skate to this magical place. Wonderful cheeses made in house by Nancy Bergman with milk from local cows. Fabulous wine selection curated by Kyle - -a highly skilled sommelier who has worked in some of Manhattans finest restaurants. Do yourself a favor and stop here if you are in the Wilmington / Dover Mount Snow area. It is worth a detour— The place oozes charm. And if you have time, reserve a wine/ cheese tasting in their new Remedy wine bar - it’s a great way to spend an apres ski evening or a rainy afternoon. You will love it!

Wonderful people, amazing cheese!

I tasked a friend with preparing a cheese plate for my casual outdoor Vermont wedding, and let her know there was a local cheese shop to source everything from. My friend took it from there, and boy did she DELIVER! She told me that communicating with the lovely folks over at Spoonwood was efficient and pleasant. They were quick to make the appropriate quantities needed for the wedding. The truffle cheese was the stuff of dreams and now I will have to go all the way back to S. Vermont just to satisfy my cravings! Our guests were beyond impressed at the artisanal quality of the cheeses. I was impressed with the kindness and eagerness of the owners. I wish I was able to stop in personally and thank them, but now we have an excuse to go back (for that truffle cheese!)

French style cheeses that are Really Yummy

We have been getting cheese,beer, and Wine from Spoonwood Cabin for a couple of years. The cheeses keep getting better and the variety more creative-each time we visit we are amazed and delighted. The wine and beer selection keeps expanding. Great addition to Jacksonville, VT.

A Gem

Wonderful little place in the Wilmington area. We were treated to a delicious tasting of cheeses by Kyle, who was gracious and accommodating. The store also houses a nice wine and beer selection, and baguettes that are house made and will blow your socks off! Only open on the weekend, so plan your trip accordingly, but if you like cheese this is the place to go. Cheeses are comparably priced to those at better markets, and the quaint atmosphere and hospitality definitely make this worth the stop.
