Be advised there is a fee $16/person just to go over to pick apples, you then have to pay $1.99/lb for your apples. I’m sure their justification is there are so many other things to do there with your family, but we were all adults and just wanted to go pick apples. It cost us over $100 just to ride over on a tractor/wagon to the orchards (which we waited 30 mins in line for), we then paid off over $60 for the apples. Never again! They should really consider a free ride over to the orchard since they’re still gonna make money off the apples. We won’t be back!

We went here last year and had a lot of fun so we decided to go again. Big mistake-
First of all, it was way too overcrowded. They should not be so greedy, and limit how many people they allow in. Also, charging $15 pp just to step foot in the place is a bit crazy. Lots of places don’t charge anything, and just charge for things like wagon rides and pumpkins.
But I paid it bc it was an experience we wanted to have as a family and I just didn’t think it through.
It was super crowded and people don’t care about anyone but themselves. We sat down to watch the pig race, showed up early, then tons of people stood in front of us so we couldn’t see anything. No one should be allowed to STAND in front of the seats.
They also sell too much goat feed. We bought some and none of them would eat because they were too full from the crowds of people feeding them. That’s not healthy for them and was a waste of money for us. They should limit how much do that they sell.
We couldn’t get food for ourselves or apple cider donuts (one of the main things we wanted from there) because it was so dang crowded.
Stop being so damn greedy! It’s gross. We won’t be back.

This used to be a great value for military families, but it seems that the people that own and run GCF just want to appear military-friendly without the actual sacrifice of profits. They now only grant military tickets on days when we would have to take leave in order to come out. This is a non-benefit. Just take it down off your website and stop pretending to offer discounts for servicemembers. It’s too crowded, too expensive and everything is 50% more expensive than it used to be. Just go to another close-by farm instead.

I’m leaving a review because this is the 2nd time this has happened in the last 2 months. We took my family to Great Country farms and after we had been there about 30 minutes, I laid my 1 month old on a bench to change her diaper. I immediately noticed the bench and table were covered in ticks. We proceeded to check ourselves and all of our bags. There was a tick inside my toddler’s diaper, on my infant, on all of our bags and clothes. I was the only one who sat down so the rest of my family contracted them just from playing. The tables by the bounce area are covered. We left and were given a refund but I would not take my family here again.

Wow! Absolutely blown away by Great Country Farm. Was not expecting anywhere near the amount of fun available. Took my 6 and 8 year old. Arrived around lunchtime on a weekday and while there was a line to check in, the cashier quickly called for help and we got wristbands quickly. We hit the tube slide first. I had to help my kids carry the inner tubes up the slide and it's unmanned so you're on safety watch, but that was fine. There was one younger kid who lost his innertube and walked down the rough slide. We walked by the friendly goats and animals, stopping at the HUGE trampoline sheet next. Kids had a blast running and jumping. (It requires barefeet.) Then they were thrilled with the huge obstacle course! Lots of options for all ages. We headed back to the car because there were storm clouds and stopped for a jaunt through the spray ground, said hello to the giant pigs and paused to look at the peacocks. There was so much we didn't make it to including Putt Putt which looked fun, the mazes and the store which had lots of things that peaked my interest on the way in. We are already planning our next trip!

It was recommended to me for my children to enjoy some fruit picking and some games. It is truly a disappointment. I don’t know why you have to pay to get in when most of the activities are run down. The only thing my kids enjoyed was the trampoline. Then you have to pay for picking the fruit or feeding the goats. I don’t recommend it.

知り合いに勧められて行ってみました。
苺とさくらんぼ狩りが出来ました。果樹園には、トラクターに引かれたワゴンで移動します。楽しい移動です。日本の温室の苺狩りと違い、外の広大な畑いっぱいに苺が植えられています。日本では、午後だと苺がなくなっている事もあるのですが、午後の遅い時間帯でも問題なく、たくさん摘む事が出来ました。
園内には迷路やトランポリン、主に小さい子向けの遊具が沢山あります。子供が小さかったら、一日中遊んでたな、と思いました。ヤギ、ウサギ、豚などがあちこちにいて、売店で買ったエサをやることもできます。
帰りにワイン、アップルサイダー、アップルサイダードーナツを買いました。アップルサイダードーナツは揚げたてで、ふわふわのサクサク、評判に違わず最高に美味しかったです。
季節を変えて、違う果物を摘みに行こうと思います。

It was the time of COVID. This was the perfect outdoor activity to do with children. We did not spend extra money on the water mine, animal feed, or anything else. We did play with the water at the miniature gold extraction activity. We all found our way out of the corn maze. The kids loved jumping on the huge bouncy bubble. The Farm allows you to bring your own food, which is a deal breaker as I had picky eaters and hungry tummies. Bringing our own food saved money and satisfied the pallets of 6 year olds. There was plenty of outdoor activities. It felt save to let the older kids divide into two groups and split up with a parent hovering over them.
We bought pumpkins and pies. It is a wonderful experience for large groups who want an American Country experience.

The place has a lot of mazes, little playgrounds, mighty slides and bouncy areas for younger kids. The best part was the tractor pulling the wagons of people, to go out to the fields to pick their own pumpkins (or sunflowers)...!
The farm is probably more lively (and crowded) on the weekends--- be sure to get advance tickets.
We loved the fact that after sipping beverages and taking in the fantastic views from Bluemont Vineyards or Dirt Farm Brewery--- We could drive down the hillside and let the kids have a good time of their own...

My family visited the farm for the day and had a wonderful time. It’s a beautiful area. The kids loved all the animals and play areas. Everyone was very friendly, and the apple cider donuts were delicious. We’ll definitely be back.
