Overall, very cute, nice family fun time to celebrate fall. Every so often, we travel in VA to experience new farms. Due to this being the furthest we've gone, I e-mailed prior to going to see if they indeed had what they listed, the corn shooter, as that is something everyone, including the big kids/adults would enjoy. We unfortunately received no response, but took our chances anyway, knowing if we did not like the place, there were others nearby.
The pricing in general seemed fair in comparison to other farm festivals for kids, however I always take issue with charging a teen, who is still a kid, an adult price, especially since most of the activities are geared toward younger kids. More so than that, on the first weekend of October, which is prime time for these events, when we checked after being there for a bit, they said their corn shooter was broke? Ugh! So, a few disappointments: 1) write people back especially when they say they are traveling from hours away to visit your event, 2) kids are kids, unless they are way young to enjoy most attractions, charge the kid price, and 3) have available an advertised attraction in the beginning of the season that older kids and adults enjoy or have a spare. Alternatively, charge less or don't charge extra for additional apple sling shots (first 3 are free, but no where in their advertising does it say more are extra).
Now, to the good parts as it was mostly an enjoyable experience. Most farms we've been to in VA are flat, but this location (now in Roseland,VA, not Lovingston as listed on TA) had a nice mountain backdrop and hills for kids to roll down in tube type things which they got a kick out of. What else was unique to this festival in comparison to others we've been to is, going down this seemingly fast slide in or on burlap sacks. A list of chicken jokes and chicken horoscopes was cute. Mazes are not a significant interest for me, but right when everyone was tired of looping through it and ready to go, we found our way out, so completing it was nice. The apple sling shot was fun for both kids and adults, especially hitting a unique target. The kids liked the goats and feeding them grass as well. Also, a parent favorite is typically a place that parents can easily view and find their kids quickly. The set up of this place was very conducive to this which helps parents relax and let the kids run free a bit.
The apple cider donuts were very good. They are sold as singles, which is likely a good thing so you don't overdo it, but maybe not cost efficient if trying to buy for a whole family. We only bought 2 due to allergies in family. For those with nut allergies, nuts are not mentioned as being sold on the web site, but we noticed them at both the apple cider concession stand and pumpkin stand. With so many kids these days having peanut allergies and this event being mainly aimed towards kids, this should at least likely be mentioned when listing off concessions on their site.
Overall, we had a great family time and would recommend it if you are in the area. We wouldn't likely revisit due to distance, not e-mailing me back, and not having one of the main attractions I was looking for in our next farm visit, but would possibly go again only if nearby. It does not have a hayride if you are looking for that, but it has a very nice location. It also doesn't have a pumpkin patch, but there is one within like 2 miles if you it is important to you to pick your own. There are a lot of gas stations on the road it is off of. Many are the same price, but go like a minute further and you'll see a couple that are .20 less a gallon sprinkled throughout.

Corn maze is on 5 acres and takes possibly 1 hour. We had it done in less than 30 minutes but missed some of the scavenger hole punches, so we went back in and took different routes. If you have never done the corn maze, don't take children under 8 your first time. If you do have children under 8 use smart phone to find correct answers to trivia questions to get hints on correct route to take. Staff is available via phone to come in and get you out, and we noticed some families with toddlers that hit their limits needing help. Also have pumpkins for sale. Some kiddie activities are outside the maze, let teens/pre teens run maze on own while parents play with younger kids in the activity areas.
