I actually left without getting on a horse (Billy looked lovely though - sorry didn't get to meet you, mate!). My husband booked me a private lesson for a birthday surprise. Both women were incredibly hostile. First found it a massive issue that I didn't have boots, and a hat. (even though my husband who had researched stables diligently had been assured this was fine). Second - the instructor - was pathologically rude and wouldn't even make eye contact. We're not divas and I've been in the horse world in the past so I'm used to down to earth people (and that's great) but this was horrible. There was no way I was going to spend 45 minutes trying to ride a horse in that environment. To be fair they did refund the cash - we'd left saying 'keep the money' - and they phoned to refund. It was one of those 'if you felt like that' non apologies, deflecting responsibility.

Booked for my little girl and three of her friends for her 8th birthday. Did not disappoint as they absolutely loved it! The first bit was safety/ helmets meeting the ponies and brushing them down followed by a riding session made up of trotting and races. The young lady leading the session was brilliant as communicated really well with the children and was a fantastic leader. Each child had an adult leading their ponies and it was well organised. We used the party portacabin provided which was decorated nicely for a birthday and had a heater as being December it was freezing - I had taken flasks of warm Ribena and hot chocolate and snacks which we had in there which he kids loved! A massive thank you to all as it was brilliant and the rosettes a lovely touch. Definitely worth it!

My son has been riding here fortnightly for a year or so. His instructor, Viv, is brilliant. She has endless patience and has built my son's confidence and abilities beyond measure. Everyone is friendly, the site is well kept. We love it there.

I booked an hour half hack and had a great time. My mare was keen and honest. The route around Esher Common allowed for a good amount of fast work on well surfaced bridle paths. The countryside really surprised me being so close to the A3 .I would recommend this stables.

I've grown in confidence in both flat work and jumping. Lovely horses. Lovely teachers - encourage and build confidence. Very friendly atmosphere. Have made real friends there. Love it!

Booked easily for daughters 10th Birthday. Once located, it was a wonderful afternoon. Spent at least 45 mins on pony, learning how to do a basic ride and controlling the reins. Each of the 5 children had someone to lead the pony which made children very comfortable riding. Another 45 minutes or so spent learning to groom the pony and visiting the other horses in the stable. Friendly staff. Glad I spent the extra money on each child having their own pony to ride. Very enjoyable experience.

Pony Party. All things considered, I would recommend it, but learn from our experience... The party kind of started driving up the access road (we went in Jan..) Pot holes galore, all full of water and mud, mostly invisible. The area around the equestrian centre is pretty rough and ready and is boarded by the A3 on one side. Drive to just before the end of the road and turn right. The area is a mud bath and your car will get covered... Everyone should wear wellies during the winter season. We found the office (nice and cosy) and checked in. The instructor was very nice as were the pony leaders and our party was in good hands. The party introduced the children to the ponies and they went away and experienced walking and trotting and lots of fun racing too. Then afterwards they learnt something of the tasks in looking after horses and the stables. Now, as the other reviews say, the party room was poor, very poor. Don't bother to have one if it is poor, you have been warned. Take hot chocolate with you and drive your party elsewhere to conclude the party..

Booked a pony party for 6 13yr olds! Good communication and administration from the start. Girls were all fitted with their riding hats and sent out to be matched up with horses. Each girl had a helper leading the horse and they were all lovely, friendly and enthusiastic. My younger daughter wasn't involved in the pa
rty and they asked her if she wanted to have a go on one of the ponies. My daughter was very scared after a previous bad experience, the lady who took her made her feel so safe that she now wants lessons!!! Girls also enjoyed the stable management part of the party. All in all an amazing day and all party goers emjoyed themselves immensely. My only criticism would be the portacabin that can be used as a party room (we didn't use) but it didn't look particularly inviting. It could be jazzed up a bit with bunting and re-arrangement of tables :-)

I go riding about once a week there and am delighted with the equestrian center. They have lovely, caring staff and amazing horses and ponies to ride. The best instructor there is Remee as she is often my instructor. Remee always gets the best out of you and your horse you are riding. The horses there are available to all types of rider, beginner, intermediate, advanced and help you further your education in riding. You can even take Stable Management lessons. It is amazing, I so recommend it. Full marks!
