It was easy to find, but parking was a question. You go up a narrow road that runs between this museum and the Stephen's house and at the top you are stopped by the railroad tracks! There is limited parking for only a couple of cars in that spot. If you park up there, try and leave space for others to turn around. The is more parking on the grass at the entrance.
Lots of interesting exhibits. Period surveying equipment was there since George Washington surveyed most of this area
! They had several military uniforms on display with information on the donor (or donor's family). Vietnam, WWI II, as well as of a sailor killed in the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut. They had uniforms from the Spanish American War - not sure we had ever seen that war represented!
If in the area, you should not miss this museum. Dale, our volunteer docent was wonderful! No charge, but donations welcomed. You have steps in order to enter.

It was part of the Adams Stephens House Tour. It has some unique finds inside, and there is a great history to the structure as well.

This building originally was housing for railroad workers who were stopped here or working on a project. It has a Martinsburg museum upstairs that will give you a good idea of what this area used to produce and how life was in those times. The collection of military uniforms from the Civil War on is also quite a trip thru history. This site and the Adam Stephen house across the way, are well worth the time to explore.

This is inclusive to the Adam Stephen House(second part). The material was a mix of time periods from clothing, railroad worker material, city history photo's, Indian artifacts, etc. Since it was from martinsburg was hoping for more local antique artifacts instead of some generalized items. The museum itself is very small containing only one room on two floors. Overall not great experience as Adam Stephen House but a nice starter addition.
