Perfect Paradise Experience

WOW !! What an experience. The cottage was perfection. Clean, quiet, everything worked, well stocked for cooking. We cooked every night there during our stay. The yard is immaculate. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation . Look up the gallery, the pics don't lie ! Tony was excellent to deal with. His instructions via text were timely and very specific and helpful.
Sleeping there was a dream. Open windows every night, a/c if you need it which we did not. The outdoor shower is so inviting, we took three showers a day. (shhh, don't tell anyone). The grill looked brand new, super hot !
Got it to almost 700 degree's for my NY Strips.... :)
I can go on but suffice it to say we will be back. There's a reason the cottage is booked a year out.

It is a beautiful beach, just know that if the tide is up you will have to do some climbing and/or deep wading to get there.

This was a beautiful beach tucked away from the usual traffic. Great views all around and not crowded at all. It definitely had the Gilligan's Island vibe!

A peaceful oasis

The drive to this little village and beach is quite long and makes you think you are lost, but when you finally get there and have the small, crescent sandy beach almost to yourself, you realise how diverse the beaches on Kauai are. If you want peace and privacy this is a beach for you.

A hidden gem!

My wife and I were fortunate to stay in a beach cottage right on Moloa'a Beach with beautiful weather conditions, and after visiting several beaches on the North Shore, I have to say this was possibly my favorite. The views are fantastic, I never saw more than maybe a dozen people out at once, and there's a great swimming area with a completely sandy bottom on the right easternmost part of the beach just before the reef. Plus it's fun to say you're staying on Gilligan's Island! I didn't snorkel there but saw multiple people who were and said they saw some cool stuff. We also walked over to the reef at low tide when it was just tidepools and saw some neat stuff. I realize it's not always this nice here, so we were lucky!

My top beach view. Really don't think I've ever seen such a surrounding view.

I've been more than halfway around the world and have been on hundreds of beaches. This was by far one of the best views at a beach I've ever been to. Other things make it not the best beach I've ever been to. It was a little rough water the day we were there. The parking is limited. The walk to the shady areas not bad. But the views are worth it. People were snorkeling near the reef area. For us just a wade into the water and looking at the view in front of us was great. Made us very happy to be there.

Nice beach, not snorkeling

We initially went here because we were told it was a locals beach for snorkeling but the waves were too high. Nice, clean beach; didn’t know Gilligan’s Island all started here. Watched that show all through grade school.

We too, stopped because of Gilligan's Island. It's a cool beach and was nice to see where the filming of the show happened.

Had to visit because of Gilligan

Actually a nice beach, but wanted to visit because of ties to Gilligan island. It was pretty cool to see where pilot was filmed in early 60’s homes here have some awesome. Idea. I am jealous. Spend a half day here and take I the quiet

Gilligan's Island was filmed here

As we continued up the coast, north of Kapa'a our guide pulled into a residential neighborhood and led us through what seemed like people's back yards to Moloa'a Beach. In Hawaii, all beaches are public and even private homes must provide access to the ocean.
Once the access-way opened up onto the bay, we were treated to a fairly secluded beach area with a stream running through it.
Fun fact: the pilot and a few other episodes of Gilligan's Island were filmed here.
