IRTE IS BACK AT THE PRODUCER’S CLUB!! You can see a Broadway show for $150 or more per person -- or you can visit this off, off Broadway venue (right in the heart of the theatre district!) and get an evening full of entertainment for only $20-25 bucks! The Producer’s Club is one of the best kept secrets in New York City – only it’s not a secret to veteran theatre folk, those developing new acts and plays, or those who use one of its small, comfortable theatres as a showcase spot. An iconic spot in midtown Manhattan, at 358 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036, it’s where you can see repertory troupes, such as IRTE: the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble and their season of hilarious, improvised shows, each themed and cast with seriously funny folk who can bring you a load of entertainment and laughs for a small fraction of what other NYC shows cost. The Club has several different small theatres and most importantly, a well-stocked bar! Patrons are also permitted to bring their drinks from the bar into the individual theatres. The only drawback of The Producer’s Club is that it is not wheelchair accessible. But enter on 44th Street, right off Ninth Avenue, where you are also in the thick of theatre district restaurants for dinner or snacks before or after a show. The new IRTE show of the 2024 Fall season is “REMOTE,” conceived and directed by Robert Baumgardner and starring IRTE regulars: Evie Aronson, Nannette Deasy, Todd Exler, Natalie Hunter, Sam Katz and Jamie Maloney, and featuring live music by John Munnelly. THIS FULLY IMPROVISED SHOW will run Fridays & Saturdays, November 9, 10, 15, 16, 22, 23 & December 6 & 7, 2024, and runs from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets $20 Online or $25 Cash Only at the Door. Season Passes and Group Discounts Available. Google IRTE (Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble) for tickets and more information. Parental discretion is advised as “improv” can be … well …spontaneous!

Its a quirky place, We were 45 minutes early but had read there was a bar so we thought we would have a drink before the show. It's by no means a real bartender at least not when we were there so I thought it best to have a beer. The bar did not accept credit cards - also weird. Its very old but comfortable, the theater is super small. On the website it looks like there is seating on either side of the stage but its actually folding chairs ON THE STAGE! but not in a good way, kinda of in a weird way because the stage is so small. I don't know if I could recommend it. Its not bad, but not great, just understand this before you go so that your expectations are in the right place.

I found this off-Broadway drag show a real delight.
The theatre is a little shabby and run-down and they certainly should re-think ticketing systems as everyone in the bar area was confused. That said I still very much enjoyed the experience. And really how much does one expect on high end production/ theatre for $20.00.
Show itself was a great laugh the drag stars did a fabulous job and even interacted with the audience. I secretly was hoping to be picked on as everyone appeared to be american or Canadian and I was the only brit in the room. Oh well maybe next time.
Actors were very professional and explained that late start of show was due to one of there mother's being in hospital. There was also a chance to take photo's with the actors dressed up as your favourite character's at the end of the show.
A good cheap night out.

Went to see the Golden Girls Lost Episode. Some things should remain lost.
The theatre is probably the filthiest place I’ve been in. Staff lack lustre in service.
The “show”? Well if you missed out on Christmas ham this show is full of it.
3 actors dragged up to play the 4 Golden Girls.
Very basic and obvious humour. Bland and boring.
You then get a little speech at the end to tell you how wonderful the creator is, how wonderful the show is and how all other Golden Girls shows are awful, he also appears in the show.
I paid $89 for two seats and felt completely ripped off. If you’re easily pleased or drunk you’ll probably enjoy it.
