It is original to find a garden in a park, but there is a different atmosphere here than in Central Park, so we discover something else.

I love to come here as a refuge for the busy city and the best time here is spring. The well maintained flower beds, specimen trees and shrubs snd well maintained walks make this a great spot to relax and recharge. Many young families pushing carriages, school children after their hours snd bus loads of visitors flock here. Great spot to picnic or just hang out or stroll with loved ones 0 seconds Molly one of the best spots to visit located at 105 street and fifth avenue with the opening at the Vanderbilt gate.

It was quiet and peaceful but a bit underwhelming. The south end around Burnett Fountain was nice but the rest of the garden seemed underdeveloped. Maybe nicer later in Spring and early Summer. I was there in mid-April.

This was my first visit. It is very easy to find and enter. Plenty of pathways and a wide variety of trees, bushes and flowering plants. Benches can be found throughout, and there is even a restroom. I only wish there were identifying stakes.

Lovely and well-maintained gardens offering some lovely views.
As of June, 2023, only part of the gardens are open...the other part is under construction.
Easy access from the Fifth Avenue gate (Vanderbilt Gate) at 105th street. Street parking in the area easier on weekends, particularly on Sundays.

The gardens have a quiet elegance to them in the winter months when nothing is growing but still you can walk around and see all the bushes and statuary. The gardens are under renovation but in the winter months there is nothing to see on that side of the park.
Still is it nice to walk around the shrubbery and see the mazes of the gardens. There are still people walking around admiring the lawns and trees and taking pictures.

Lovely small garden in the upper section of central park. Theres some nice steps you can walk up and over with a view of the fountain which is situated in the middle of the garden and they have restrooms you can use which are relatively well looked after for park toilets. The garden is very well kept and looked after, they were gardening whilst we were there.

I went to the Central Park Conservatory for the first time since the pandemic and the core of the gardens are under renovation.
You can still walk around the perimeters of the gardens and see the trees and lawn. The fountain off to the side surrounding by those gardens was still open and it was nice to walk around. The flowers were in full bloom.
It will be nice to see the end results with the gardens when it is finished.

I visited the Conservatory Garden in Central Park in December 2021 after visiting the Museum of the City of New York. It is located near 5th Avenue and 105th Street. There is a Central Garden, North Garden and South Garden. The hedge rows are beautiful. The North Garden and the South Garden had fountains. I can imagine that it is very beautiful in the spring.

The Conservatory Garden, located in Central Park, is undoubtedly a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the heart of a bustling metropolis.
Both my wife and I consider the garden among our top ten attraction to visit in Manhattan, NY. Our personal favorite items in the garden are the “Untermyer Fountain”, which was donated by the family of Samuel Untermeyer, a prominent 20th Century attorney, and the “Three Dancing Maidens” designed by Walter Schott, a German sculptor.
The Conservatory Garden is a great place to have engagement or wedding photos or a great place to visit and sightsee alongside family and loved ones!!!

A great place to visit year round but the best time is the doring or early summer when flowers come out, the trees bloom and it smells grest

As long as you are with family members from only your household and that you keep 2m from other people. and you take all rubbish with you

I have been in the Gardens many many times and I have never seen dogs there. I don’t know if that is coincidence or if that is a rule.
I would not bring the dog in there… People are in there for the peace and beauty. It would infringe upon peoples enjoyment of the gardens.

I want to visit the Conservatory Garden in New York with my family. Can you share any popular website, except govisitnyc, which I can go for detail information?

Agree with the above. Be aware that the Conservatory Garden is rather small and can be seen in less than an hour. If you wish for a longer excursion, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a true oasis of quiet beauty away from the din. The New York Botanic Garden (in the Bronx) is also very large, but it's farther away than the one in Brooklyn.

Hi everyone! Will I still see these beautiful flowers by October? 3rd week of October actually... would love to add this to my itinerary if ever!! thanks!!!!
Skrevet 18. september 2017
There are still flowers in bloom in the park. It may not be like the Spring or Summer but the Gardens run seasonally. So expect to see Fall flowers in the Garden beautifully laid out and well maintained. The volunteers who work here take a lot of pride in the way the Garden looks.

Give yourself at least an hour and a half. While you are there don't miss the Museum of the City of New York and El Burrio Museum which are both across the street from the Garden. They both charge a small fee but are both worth visiting as well when in the area.

In what months, days, and at what times is the Conservatory Garden open? (Planning to visit the week of June 26th-July 1st)
Skrevet 14. mai 2017
The garden is open seven days a week but the best time to go is in the early afternoon around 1:00pm-5:00pm. It is not the best to go after twilight. Also plan on visiting the Museum of the City of New York and El Barrio Museums across the street. Tu Casa Deli on 104th Street has delicious empanadas that make a quick snack. There is also the Harlem Meer at the north end of Central Park that you should see before the afternoon was over.
