Spectacular! Relatively new museum. Treats American History as a worthy subject. Makes clear that progress was not complete with the Revolution, but doesn’t apologize about our Founders. Turns out Washington is still a hero, not someone to be rejected.

Wonderful experience with our two elementary boys. Extremely engaging with the complete history, interactive experiences and thoughtful staff/teachers throughout. We could have spent more time if not for the parking expiration!

I visited the Museum of the American Revolution in December 2021. It was my third visit to this museum. The museum does a great job of covering the major events of the American Revolutionary War. It starts with the coverage of the runup to the war, the various acts passed by the British government, the Boston Tea Party, the Boston massacre. Then the coverage shifts to 1775 and the Battle of Lexington and Concord and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Moving into 1776, the coverage continues with the Declaration of Independence, the Battle of New York and the ten crucial days (Washington crossing the Delaware, the Battle of Trenton and the Battle of Princeton). The rest of the coverage including the winter at Valley Forge and the shift of the war to the South is also very interesting. I had missed the coverage of the Battle of Yorktown my first two visits in the museum. The Battle of Yorktown is covered in a movie towards the end of the exhibit. The museum has a very nice gift and book shop. One note in visiting the museum during a weekday is that you will probably have to navigate around groups of school children visiting with their teacher and a guide.

New museum with many interesting facts and exhibits about the Revolutionary War. This would be most appropriate for age 1O and up. Colorful and interesting. Plan on at least 2 hours. Nice gift shop.

This museum is a must-see for anyone interested in the American Revolution. What our ancestors went through for our freedom is amazing. We spent a little over 3 hours here.

What an excellent museum!

I could not believe what I wonderful time I had at the Museum of the American Revolution. The museum is small but very well organized with a couple of inhouse special exhibitions "Paintings from the American Revolution" and for Veteran's Day people in costume.

The museum is fascinating as it covers the whole Revolutionary War from beginning to end with all the Battles and who ran them and the results with interesting artifacts from each battle and from each side. What I thought was interesting was that they had pieces of the King George Statute that was ripped down in the Bowling Green Park in New York City. I thought this had been melted down. They also had George Washington's tent that was saved by a slave of the Lee family as Robert E. Lee's wife was Martha Washington's favorite grand daughter.

There was all sorts of artifacts from clothing and buckles and shoes to the original flags that were used in Battle that were handed down generation to generation. There were all sorts of gems like this.

If you are interesting in the Revolutionary War, then this is the museum for you. Plan to spend about three hours here as time does go by fast, It is just so fascinating that all of these things survived for us to see.

My husband and I enjoyed this museum so much. TripAdvisor suggests 2-3 hours here. We spent 3.5 hours and still didn't see everything in detail. If you look at everything and read everything, you could easily spend 5-6 hours here. It is SO well done and thorough. Beautiful, thoughtful displays. Several short films. Friendly staff.
Most of what you will see is on the second floor. Be sure to watch the film about Washington's War Tent.

I saw ads for this museum and really wanted to check it out. It was really cool! I learned so much that I didn’t know and the presentation was unique and interactive. The staff would sometimes even come over and tell you extra facts about a certain artifact or something. It was so interesting. If you are a history lover then this is a can’t miss if you’re in Philly.

This museum is over the top. Every aspect of the displays are excellent in every way. The video, audio and tactile presentations were very well done. A great historical presentation of our Nation's birth.

We were a bit taken back by the admission price, BUT the museum is a must for anybody interested in American History. In fact, even if not interested in history, it is still a must for any American.
