Real voodoo store. Scent was over powering but so much to see. A real priestess was there which made it a memorable visit. Many alters with offerings. Wild culture.

The people here are so nice. They treat first timers who are just curious with the same respect they treat regular customers. If they don't have what you are looking for, it's safe to say you probably don't need it! Love the authenticity, the smell, and the vibe here.

This shop had a very calming atmosphere and a very positive energy. I was made to feel welcome and to ask any questions I had. This shop is not a kitschy tourist type but is meant to cater to people who are interested in true voodoo (which is mostly positive feeling/thinking/healing, not the negative casting a spell on someone stereotype and those looking for "real" trinkets, not the cheap swapmeet type). It is a rather small shop, but it has a good variety of products ranging from oils, herbs, and candles to jewelry, juju guardians, and various protective effigies. They do have some quaint alters set up in the back if anyone should want to send a prayer, etc. It looks like they did readings as well, but it was tucked away in a private spot that I couldn't really see from the shop. Prices are reasonable. It is definitely worth a peek, but please be respectful of this culture.

We had emailed from Australia to make a booking and they'd offered us a time for 26/3/23. I wrote back right away to confirm 2 bookings for my husband and I and then never heard back. I emailed again to confirm, and we didn't hear back so we showed up for our allocated time and they said they had no booking noted. I showed them the emails and they did nothing to try and rectify the situation. We went to Hex instead.

This was a fun store. Lots of candles, dolls, jewelry, and a lot of herbs. If you want to learn more about voodoo though, check out the museum down the street.

Highly recommend getting a reading from Kamille. She's not just great; she's legit. Don't normally write reviews but had to write a review for her because she was that good. It's one of the few times i've seen where you could pop in for a reading at any level in your spiritual journey. And I truly mean from "Never had a reading before" to "I'm pretty seasoned with divination" and she will still give you goosebumps.
To put it in perspective, I came in not looking for any of the "common" stuff like wealth or power or money, but things very hyperspecific to my own personal spiritual journey and growth, and the information that came to her were so specific it surprised me even as a seasoned practitioner in divination. When someone says "I don't know why but I need to say this" and it's completely arbitrary to her but not to you, you know there's more going on than just woo.
Also, she demands you not ask or tell anything to hint at the process until after the session, so that automatically eliminates most of the ones who can be analytical and just extrapolate information from there instead of using divination practices and truly believing in the craft. Everything that came to her was authentic, specific, and could not have been retrieved from outside sources or analytical thinking.
Tl;Dr if you want "the real thing", Kamille is who you want. This whole store is what you want. Cannot recommend it more to both the seasoned witches and the spiritually curious / skeptics. Just wait.
Oh and finally: affordable pricing. You'll never find a reading this good anywhere else for $45. Seriously. I've had people charge twice as much for BS vague answers, and this was definitely not that. They could honestly charge more if they wanted.

Définitivement la meilleure boutique ésotérique de New Orleans! Beaucoup de choix, ambiance chaleureuse, authenticité voodoo… j’ai adoré mon expérience. J’ai pris un rendez-vous avec Camille pour une séance de tarot et c’était vraiment merveilleux, vrai, positif et ça m’a donné confiance en moi. C’était aussi réaliste avec ma vie et ce que je traverse actuellement, avec des bons conseils. Je suis repartie avec un bracelet de Yemaha et un miroir de Lasyrenne. Une des plus belles expériences pour moi a New Orleans. Merci beaucoup.

All walking tours are usually "pet friendly". It really depends on the tour guide themselves and if they feel their group is "comfortable" with the pet in general.
Remember, with the "Free" tours, you get what you "didn't" pay for.
