Great Lifeboat srtation
okt. 2021
Coming frome a seaside town myself, who have a lifeboat station, It always sparks an interest in all Lifeboat stations. This one At Cromer is at the end of the pier. We did not have time to pop in on this day but we will be back.

Operational life boat station.

We saw this whilst in the pier. It is located behind the theatre so easily missed! It is a real operational lifeboat centre so a good place visit and learn about the excellent work of the RNLI.

Interesting Visit

Based at the end of Cromer Pier, is the 'new' Lifeboat station. You can walk around a gantry and look at the lifeboat (if it's in!) There are lifeboat men to answer your queries and a good little shop at the entrance.

Walked to the end of the Pier to visit the station, however was closed due to Covid-19.
Enjoy popping in just to look at the boat.

Great to watch the old tractors pulling the boats about

If you can stand the noise, kids will love watching the tractors pulling the boats around, we lucky enough to see a few.

A Serious Lifeboat

This is a little museum of the RNLI.

Admittance is free and you can make a donation on entering if you wish.

The high standard and pride that goes into the upkeep of this machine will make you proud to be British! Definitely worth taking a stroll to the end of the pier for a look and a read.

Great search and rescue centre
sep. 2019 • Par
I admire those men and women who work in often terrible conditions to rescue others at sea. They have a boat and launch system that Britain has refinded to unbelievable lebel of resource into these purpose built plus £1million boats.

A MUST VISIT location if you are on the pier
feb. 2020
If you are walking along the pier make sure you go all the way to the end to the lifeboat station. It is free to visit but there is a gift shop if you want to get some souvenirs.

You can climb up the stairs and see the lifeboat (assuming it is not out rescuing someone) and there is lots of information about the lifeboat and the crew.

I particularly enjoyed reading the information about all the callouts that the lifeboat has attended over the years. Very interesting.

Make sure you make a donation as the crew are all volunteers and need our support.
