Really enjoyable day, lots to see, excellent signage. Lucky to have met Farmer Dave and Farmer Ruth. Saw Farmer Rob in the distance, busy with filming. Excellent meal in the White Bull restaurant and extensive tempting choices in the Farm Shop. Great day out for all ages

Had a great day yesterday the 21st off sept came to supporters day included in the price was farm admission had a beautiful sandwich in the white bull also supper club the night before was beautiful lots to do and plenty to see saw all the lovely family who where so kind to people and keep the animals beautifully can’t fault our day

A big money making machine rather at odds with the gentle idyllic gentleman farmers on the TV.
There looked to be maybe 800 cars in the car parks, the place was mobbed today (a Saturday) and there was not as mulch to do as see as I assumed.
Everything ran smoothly, people were having a good time - it was just a little meh ...

Thank you for your review. We're sorry you seem disappointed with your visit. Saturday was our Supporters Day which obviously was the reason why the farm appeared busy. Nevertheless, all of our normal activities went ahead as planned with no apparent problems. You will see from other reviews that the vast majority are complimentary towards our visitor experience.
We do value all feedback and use it in our on-going quality improvement initiative.

We came up from Bournemouth for 5 days specifically to visit the Farm. My mother in law is in a wheelchair and housebound. She watches all the farm's live streams, they give her company when she's at home, she knows the farm inside and out, so we thought we would treat her to a break to see the farm in real life.
it was everything we hoped for and more. Easy accessible with her wheelchair, she declared the disabled toilets the best she has ever used (trust me that is high praise indeed)
We thought the prices for admission and in the restaurant were very reasonable and worth every penny - we all really enjoyed our time there
We came back a second time to do the VIP Experience Farm Tour which was suitable for wheelchairs. This was fantastic, Ruth was so informative, and my mother in law was able to meet a lot of the animals that she watches on the Facebook lives.
Can i also say a big thank you to Dave and Rob, for taking the time to talk to us, and having a photo with her

Had a great day, and the young lady who gave talks on red squirrels, cattle, shire horses and reindeer, was knowledgeable and entertaining, she certainly know her stuff and was happy to answer any questions. We will be back

Absolutely unbelievable they charge £7.50 for poached eggs on toast . Asked staff to clean table and she looked at me in disgust

We're very sorry to hear your comments. Obviously, in defence I have to say that, as with all business we have to cover costs of production which I'm sure you are aware have increased significantly recently. Our research does suggest that we are comparable to other to other similar outlets.
Your comment relating to our staff attitude towards cleaning tables is a cause for concern and I will raise it with the relevant manager.

We are local people who used to take our children to the farm. Yesterday we went with grandchildren as a whole family.
We think it's expensive to get in £11.95 each plus parking.
The lunch bill was about £120 in the play barn. Sandwiches £11.95.
The food was poor.
There are far better local farms and zoos such as wigfield farm and ponderosa.

Bad customer service - don’t recommend. This is such a small complaint but it’s left me feeling really upset. We booked peppa pig meet for a birthday and the day was fine however in the cafe, it was busy I ordered a chicken and Brie sandwich, I was brought a chicken and avacado sandwich. I said that’s not what I had ordered as I a cannot eat avocado, I was told to re Que in the large Que and re-order, which I did to be met with the lady at the till “ that’s what you ordered I’ll have to check with management if there is anything that I can do” bearing in mind I had refused the wrong sandwich so it went straight back and I was happy to pay the difference in price and re-wait for the food to be cooked ( we have a one year old and an 8 week old baby) the lady at the till came back and said “ management said it’s absolutely not our fault, it’s yours and you’ll have to wait if you want a new sandwich” the farm today was rammed ( overly busy) they will have made thousands of pounds yet they wanted to be horrible to me over the lady at the till not obtaining my correct order, and this response was allegedly management ! Would not recommend, spent lots of money and have left feeling really upset over £ 3 difference in a sandwich order

Our third visit now and we enjoyed our day very much, it's nice to see all the wonderful animals and take in the beautiful views. The only small gripe I have is that the young lady who gave the talk at the cattle barn and also the shire horses could perhaps do a little more revision and practice. She was not very engaging, did not seem to be able to work her microphone properly and was not sure about her facts on the shire horses at all, not knowing when the foals were born and umming her way through her talk. At one point she said that she didn't like the sound of her own voice and therefore was not going to turn the speaker up which meant it was quite difficult to hear. Other than that all the staff we encountered were great. We will be back, great value for money.

I visited Cannon Hall Farm with my 2 grandchildren, the whole experience was excellent!
The site was clean and well laid out, the talks, races and the viewing areas kept them both entertained all day.

I can see that there is a covered area for eating in bad weather, is this in the farm or outside? Can we bring a picnic with us?

We are visiting Cannon Hall Farm in August 2021......is there any hotels or B&Bs nearby that are nice ?

There are a few chain hotels in Barnsley (Ibis, Holiday Inn, The Fairway). If you're looking for something with a bit more charm then you may have to drive a little further out. There are a few nice places near Millhouse Green, including Smallshaw Cottages and Spa, or Cubley Hall at Cubley (a 15 minute drive from Cannon Hall).

Is there covered/indoor picnic areas? Visiting on Saturday and would rather take our own food than spend more money..thank you
