The falls are beautiful but not awe inspiring. The trail is nice with varied landscape. Really large moss covered trees, fallen logs turned nurse tree. Overall the trail is easy though the final part to the falls is steep

There are so many incredible waterfalls in Washington, but the highlight of the Olympic Peninsula is Marymere Falls just inside the National Park west of Port Angeles. Marymere is great to combine with Storm King Trail or Lake Cresent as parking lot for the falls is on the lake and accessed by the same trail that leads to Storm King. Both of those are great attractions for the park, but due to time we were mainly there for the falls.
The trail to the falls is only 1.7 miles round trip with only 298 vertical feet at the end outbound leg as you approach the falls. You hike through a beautiful forest while crossing the creek a couple of times before reaching a sheer cliff in the mountain face where water falls some 100 foot in a white line that splits a green background of moss growing on the cliff face. It is not the tallest or the largest volume, but it is one of the prettiest in its backdrop. You will have two great vantage points to view the falls from different elevations. All in all this is a beautiful stop in Olympic that is very close to Port Angeles.

Une très jolie balade dans la forêt pour déboucher sur une très jolie cascade 🤩 Facile d'accès et un grand parking avant de débuter l'ascension.

It’s pretty, but would be a lot more in the rainy season. It’s definitely not wheelchair accessible to get to the top viewpoint, but an off road stroller might be okay. I think you could see it from the bottom though. The walk there is gorgeous!

Very pretty hike that isn't very difficult. Lots of scenery and less than 2 miles. The waterfall is nice but it's really not what most people would consider a "waterfall". It's more of a large drop from a creek but it's still worth seeing. We actually liked the hike much better than the falls itself and there are plenty of other waterfalls in the area that are more attractive. But, again, well worth the hike.

Marymere Falls was one of the last things we did during our day in Olympic National Park. We arrived a little after 6 pm and there was plenty of parking. The hike is very easy with some steps at the end to view the falls. The falls aren’t huge but the area is very scenic. After hiking we spent some time on a dock overlooking Crescent Lake. It was a great way to end the day.

We arrived in the morning (around 8:30 AM) and it wasn’t too crowded. Easily found a parking spot. The hike to the Falls is beautiful!

At 1.8 miles round trip, this was the max distance we old folks (73 with disabilities and 74) would want. But the main trail is relatively flat and extremely well maintained with crushed rock about the entire way - rare roots or rocks as the crushed stone is well built up and the walk is easy, well till the end where you have to ascend 67 steps to get to the lower observation deck and another 30+ to get to the upper deck. Mind you these are not stairs, but steps from rail ties buried in the ground that vary in height and depth between steps. Some steps are high but most are ok. Still that is a lot of steps and elevation gain for us old folks. We made it all the way up, slowly and with some accolades from the younger adults who we held up from time to time who appreciated my wife's effort despite her limitations.
The falls is nice and worth some pictures but beware the 100 or so steps. We were glad we made it. However later we found Madison falls on the map which are only a tenth of a mile or less on a paved flat trail that is wheelchair accessible. It was nearly if not just as nice. Lovely and so easy. Oddly it is not mentioned much in the literature or the reviews of Olympic National park but it certainly should be. It is located in the Elwha valley just off US 101 between port Angeles and Marymere falls.

A stunning and easy to access waterfall if you are on a limited schedule. Close to the Lake Crescent Lodge, it is less than 2 miles round trip hike to see this. Saw people of all ages and abilities complete this hike. Towards the waterfall, there is a bridge to cross, and slight elevation gain with steps.

No on swimming except in very hot summer - if there is such a thing here! The lake is fed from glaciers and is very cold! Look up the story "The Lady of the Lake" and it will give you an idea of how cold it is!

There were many but we didn't hike to them We just chose the convenient ones. I'm sure there are web sites that can better direct you. Since we were staying at Lake Crescent Lodge, Marymere was nearby. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

How long is the trail? Is there a trail entry or parking fee?

The trail is 0.9 mile (1.4k) each way starting near the Storm King Ranger Station on the south side of Crescent Lake just off of Hwy 101. There is no fee for the trail and while there is lots of free parking (and restrooms), this trail is very popular and the lot does fill-up so arriving early is your best bet.
