Hop on hop offs are still in operation but all other tours are evidently no longer held. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phones and there are no longer any third party companies who take reservations for them.

Ray was an excellent tour guide. He was fun and very informational. He was able to get all our questions answered despite how weird they could be. I really liked how he customized our tour to the group. He allowed us more time to pursue our interests without making anyone feel rushed. We had plenty of opportunity to get the most of our day tour to Hill Country.

A friend and I purchased this combo ticket. The Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley tour gave us two days to explore San Antonio without having to drive anywhere. There were many stops at or near places we wanted to see such as the Alamo, a market selling primarily Mexican wares, the Tower of the Americas, and Augies BBQ to name a few). And it was only a short wait for the next bus when we finished exploring. While on the bus the driver was telling the history of the town and sites. The River Cruise was flat and open air and went along the River Walk, was about 30 minutes long, and the operator told the history of the buildings we passed along the river. The Tower of the Americas was, I believe, 740 feet high. There is an elevator with a glass wall that takes you to the top 3 floors. One is an observation deck, one is the Charter House restaurant (which is fairly expensive) and the other is a bar (go at Happy Hour for discounted drinks and appetizers). We sat at a table in the bar area and watched the restaurant below as it slowly revolved for a total view of San Antonio. It was a great package to buy!

Fascinating to relive a short but important time in US History. I was young when LBJ was president and had forgotten so much about his life and yes, accomplishments. Certainly worth a visit.

they send us a message 20 minutes before start the tour. i have not received my money back since 30 september

We are first-timers to San Antonio and schedule the full day San Antonio tour to acclimate ourselves. I called 48 hours before as required and no one answered and each time I called (6) the voicemail box was full. We flew to San Antonio and still no luck when we arrived. We stopped by the tourist office across the street from the Alamo and they said they were pretty sure they went out of business about a week or two ago! The website now says "Not taking orders for October" if you try to book a tour.

Scheduled a wine tour 5 months ago. Called Alamo the day before the tour to confirm our 9am pickup @ or hotel. The day of the tour we (8) ladies were in the lobby of the hotel, excited & ready for our day trip. Alamo never showed up!!!!! Never answered the phone!!!!!! We came to San Antonio specifically for this tour and left disappointed. This is a unreliable company. Do not book with them!!! Poor customer service😡🤬

I booked two tours with this group: (1) The Grand Tour of the Alamo, Missions, Japanese gardens for August 31, 2018 AND (2) Hill Country Tour for September 1st.
On August 31st the driver showed up about 1.5 hours late in a Super Shuttle van. There were only 3 of us on the tour (my spouse plus one other person). I booked thru City Tours Inc. The other person on the tour booked thru Alamo. The other person on the tour had difficulty reaching a person at the phone number on her itinerary (210) 492-4144. Somehow City Tours and Alamo must be related as that is the same number on my itinerary.
Jason, the driver, did give us a good tour. Very late...but a good tour. He brought his girl friend for the beginning of the tour.....
We asked Jason if he was doing the tour the next day --- September 1st to the Hill Country. He did not know.
The next day, September 1st---- a few minutes before we were scheduled to be picked up, we received a call that the tour was not going to happen. The driver was not available. Since I had already paid $191.94 for this tour nearly two months earlier for the two of us, I asked for a refund. The gal asked if I booked thru Alamo or City Tours Inc. I said City Tours. She said then she would issue a credit to my VISA, but that has not happened yet.
BE MORE CAREFUL THAT I WAS.

We bought the three day hop on hop off pass (actually, buy two days, get the third free). We loved it. We used the pass to get from here to there, but also just to ride around and hear the commentary from the tour guides. Even though the route was the same, every tour guide gave a different tour with different commentary. Even the recorded commentaries were sometimes different. It was not cheap (not a city bus transport, after all), and finding the bus stops were hard at first with no signage and construction everywhere changing the bus stops, but we enjoyed it.

I'd like to get confirmation of the refund promised to my guest who was abandoned on the grand tour on Tuesday 10/17/17. Annette said she processed the refund but that was 5 days ago and it is still not recorded. Annette also promised to text me a copy of the refund made with our guests credit card but she never did. Our guest was picked up at our location but was dropped off at one location and never picked up...along with another couple taking the tour who also had their hotel come pick them up. Please call our accommodation at 210.422.7608.

Having experienced the cluster mess and the total lack of structure of this particular tour, I would NOT be surprised if those guest left on their own accord.
