Do not pass this place by! It does not look like much from the outside but inside is a treasure of pottery and a fascinating history of the Tewa -speaking people. The price is very reasonable and the information provided along the way is helpful. The permanent exhibit"The Continuous Path" or NAH-POEH
MENG is a marvel with a tremendous mural on the wall as you walk along through the 6 rooms that represent "seasons" . The exhibits are quite varied, from film to models of the people demonstrating the work they did/do.

This is a small museum just north of Santa Fe. They have a lovely collection of Tewa pots on long term loan from the Smithsonian Museum. It is interesting exhibit along with several others. Gift shop nearby has great affordable treasures.

I visited with my teenage daughter and my Mother-in-law who grew up in Santa Fe, when we came out for a family visit. It was interesting and appropriate for everyone in our little group. We had gone to the Governor’s Palace/New Mexico history museum the day before and it was really interesting to see the same history told from the Native peoples’ point of view. We spent about 3 hours, which included watching all the videos. It has a few areas that were a little difficult terrain for the older relatives whose balance isn’t always great, but we were able to navigate it ok, because it isn’t too much walking. There was a dairy admission fee that I didn’t see on the website, but it was quite reasonable: $7 for seniors and students, and &10 for adults, free for under age 12.

This place is so wonderful! We had the pleasure of exploring this museum just after it's re-opening a few weeks ago. We enjoyed the exhibits immensely. We also had the opportunity to have a delightful and informative chat with one of the staff. I wish I had thought to get his name but it was an enjoyable conversation anyway. We hope to be able to visit again soon and enjoy future exhibits and events as they continue to fully re-open.

We tried several times to visit but the hours were very limited. We were hoping for true history of the Native American culture but unable to do so .

Poeh Cultural Center is a small museum but provides a voice from a Native American perspective. Too often the history of the area comes from a European point of view. The sculptures in the displays are sensitively and beautifully realized. There are some interesting artifacts including a selection of pottery that was formerly housed at the Smithsonian in DC.

Small but very interesting museum. There are (at least on the day we went) two exhibits. The pottery exhibit started with displays of pottery from different pueblos, as expected. There were also two short films that added insight into the processes and people who make the pottery, and the value of the pottery.

The second exhibit showed the history of the pueblo people in a visual way - not much reading but a lot to take in.

We saw a sign for the cultural center and decided to stop. It was definitely a good choice. It’s very well set up and extremely interesting. Don’t miss it.

I enjoyed the Poeh Cultural Center. They had an incredible display of beautiful Tewa pottery,(Di Wae Powa) repatriated from the Smithsonian, a powerful diarama of the history of the Pueblo people, and some interactive exhibits. I was very touched and moved by the displays, including the one dedicated to the murdered and missing indigenous women, and the heart that I felt here. Posuwageh means the water gathering place, and the diorama illustrates the importance & sacredness of water to the peoples of the area.

The staff here is amazing…extremely attentive. The biggest draw is the 100 historical pots “returned”(permanent loan) as the original inhabitants made them. A few are unique or interesting piece. What I liked are the exhibits. I learned about the 1680 revolt…my eyes were opened. You learn about Pueblo people and culture. Worth a drive from Santa Fe.
