We enjoyed the market and grabbed a great coffee and fresh piece of quiche for breakfast. The artists market was wonderful as well.

Walked from train to Box Car and had drinks. Beer was good.
Then walked to Santa Fe Grill for dinner. Steak and salads were great.

We visited 1.5 years ago in the winter and went into shops in the Railyard. This time we visited over 4th of July weekend and went to the Saturday market. We parked behind some of the galleries and paid for 2 hours to explore. The Saturday Market was split into 2 parts on each side of the tracks. One side is arts and crafts, while the other side is primarily locally grown/ produced foods. We arrived a bit before 11 and it was definitely busy. I ended up getting a bagel, egg salad, and a chai. I opted to sit and listen to some local musicians for a bit. Eventually it did quiet down and we bought some local honey 🍯 as a gift. The atmosphere was fun and the market was well laid out too.

We just returned from a 3 nights stay at the Inn and Spa at Loretta in Santa Fe. It was a marvelous experience. A major positive of the Inn was the staff. From the moment we pulled in every employee we encountered made us feel so very welcome. The assistant manager took us to our beautiful room; the desk crew were always available—smiling and helpful. One even offered to take an item to the PO for us when we inquired about its location. It’s a beautiful property—tucked into a perfect location for walking to many of the special places in Santa Fe. AND Carolina who served us in the bar area was delightful. Such nice memories we have (2 couples).

SANTA FE RAILYARD CONCERT VENUE: Nice enough idea, though the application is lacking, especially as on the right side of the stage is a big ol' advertising sign that keeps flashing from one sponsor to another, and I mean the sign is right there, an imposing and impossible to miss distraction. Now, I know the world is being politically correct, yet why in the world at a live music concert is it necessary to have someone on stage signing and dancing the whole time. I mean seriously, there's no one at a painting gallery to instruct the blind as to what they're not seeing.
Food was great at the venue, they have food trucks, the prices are reasonable, the food is great. On the downside, it took more than 90 minutes to get a pizza, the lines are just insane, indicating that more vendors are needed.
What pissed me off were the people who wouldn't pay to support the artists and stood along the fence for free ... and yes, this is where the WOOOOOOO guys gather, with security doing nothing to curb their stoned exuberance.

The Railyard is really a neighborhood. It has galleries, food, adult beverages, a huge park, and lots of attractions within short walks.

While small and certainly less open during COVID times (I’d imagine), I still recommend this area for a nice, relaxing stroll or bike ride. The “district,” per se, comprises the train depot (Rail Runner service between Santa Fe and Albuquerque), integrated walking paths, breweries/coffee shops/boutiques, and even recognized brands like REI. There is something for everyone to enjoy here. I do concur with reviews mentioning the lack of businesses, although if one treats this as merely a stress-free environment to walk and catch your breath, perhaps you’d look at the Railyard from another lens.
Thanks for maintaining the Santa Fe Railyard for the local and tourist community!

Santa fe railyard. Sat morning. Farmers market. Sunday is arts and crafts jewellery morning. There is always native America crafts on the plaza. Sunday parking is free and the whole country comes. Parking is a pain. Mon thru sat you pay to park. We stayed at the Eldorado just for that reason. Alot of the jotels have a shuttle to town.
