Public is allowed on this club course. Easy to get a tee time, friendly pro shop staff, members were polite even though I was not a member. The course suffered from the late snow storms this year but much better shape than I expected considering it was the first week they were open. Several challenging holes with some narrow fairways but overall a playable and enjoyable round of golf.

Great course that I play all the time. Great variety through 18 with some cool views included. Pro shop guys are great, Mitchell is especially helpful. Highly recommend playing here, pretty reasonable prices as well.

I think it was OK but nothing great. Wouldn’t make an effort to go back. View was Ok. However I think Flagstaff needs a wider variety of restaurants.

Course in good shape, pro shop staff very helpful and accommodating, good value for primetime tee time, electric carts – quiet and plenty of pep. Slow play at times. We'll play here again if in the area.

IN NICE CONDITION! As a contributor at Trip Advisor, I am a big fan of NOT voicing my opinion – rather stating the facts and showing pics to let others decide for themselves. I try to list the good and the bad – without being critical (hence the reason why some of my negatives might be minimal in description as I am not out to bash an entity – unless the personnel needs coaching).
On that note, let’s review Continental Golf Club in Flagstaff, AZ (on the northeast side of town). I had not played this course before and selected it for a business round of golf. My playing partner was familiar with the course – but not playing it. We were BOTH very happy with the condition and actually the pace of play. I think the private courses outnumber the public courses in Flagstaff and hoped it would not be a 5 hours round – and it was not. ENJOYABLE!! Of course the blue skies and 82 degrees did not hurt at all either.
BAD: Honestly no real bad items to think of! :-D
MEH:
- Driving Range I think was across the street – did not hit any so cannot comment.
- No GPS (not a biggie, but just saying for those that are accustomed to it)
- More sprinkler yardage badges missing than I thought should be – a few times we had to drive a bit to find one for the hidden greens.
- A few pin placements were VERY difficult… OK with a challenge, but in this case the greenskeeper seemed to have a vendetta against golfers – especially with the quick greens.

GOOD:
- Course Condition B+ The greens were in great condition as were most of the fairways. Tee boxes need to be leveled (just ideally placed sand and seed will go a long way).
- Course was both challenging (tee placement and narrow / sloped fairways) and rewarding. I am pretty sure I’ll play this course differently the next time I play it knowing what I learned.
- Attitude in the Pro Shop was outstanding, and it was easy to see they were happy to be there. Good logo and nice products for a small shop.
- Yardage book is helpful – tips make sense as well.
- Lots of pretty holes and elevation changes
OVERALL:
- I’ve played many mountain courses and I really enjoyed my time here. I thought 16-18 was going to be “boring” due to their flat/parallel positions but was both (a) challenged and (b) rewarded. I'LL BE BACK! Hopefully in a few weeks and will probably play a bid differently with some course knowledge.

Course was in pretty good shape. Greens are treacherous and very fast. May be able to read better the second round. Not a long course, but challenging due to undulating fairways.

This location is across the street from the Flagstaff Wyndham. The dining room has a great view of the course and the mountains. It is a very lovely room. The food is good. Large portions. Helpful staff.

The is really an excellent run and very well managed
I played on a Sunday and it was crowded by management kept the pace of play moving without being conspicuous
I finished in less than 4 hours
They always pair singles up and it was a delightful day
The greens are challenging and will test your putting skills
I bought a chicken sandwich after which was good but it had too much sauce on it which I wiped off
The restaurant service was excellent
Thumbs up for C.C. 👍

We went to the country club early Sunday morning for a brunch with our kids and grandchildren. We sat out on the terrace right by the putting green which is also next to the swimming pool and just took in the whole golf course view. That alone was worth $1 million. We thought the service for the brunch was exceptional and our waiter was very attentive to our every need, especially with three children one of them being a baby. Each one of us in the group of seven had a different entrée and we all tried each others food. We were so impressed with the quality of the food, the taste and texture, and everything about its presentation was worthy of a five star rating. We could not think of anything the country club could’ve done different to make our experience more enjoyable. We realize you have to be a member of the club to get in but if that is the case then find someone who is a member and take the opportunity to go eat out on their deck. We will definitely be back again.
