It would be a rewarding experience to know that this place houses stories of many ancient objects, especially their collections of graphic design and photography

Our first visit years ago was when they first opened. The exhibits are even more extensive now and expansion is set to start across the street soon.
This is one of the best interpretive displays of any museum I have seen. From the first discovery of smelting bronze, to copper and its uses throughout history. It is truly an amazing metal that has benefited and continues to benefit human kind.
A truly unique display is that of Trench Art. brass artillery shell casings the soldiers in the trenches of Europe used to create beautiful works of art. This is probably one of the most extensive collections on display in the world.
You walk at your own pace along a path marked on the floor to read, see and appreciate all that is there. Restrooms are available and are right inside the museum, that was a high school at one time.
A really remarkable museum that is not to be missed.

I was expecting a museum on the history of copper in the area, which it is known for, but this exceeded my expectations because the museum focused on copper as an artform. From the punched ceiling tiles to beautiful jewellery pieces, kitchen item and the shell casings which were from the two wars and beautifully carved. Well worth a visit. I’d definitely go back.
The brew pub just up the block was wonderful as well selling non-alcoholic beers with their regular fare.

One of the best places to visit in AZ. So much wonderful copper, sectioned off by room and type of copper pieces. Kitchen, doorways, you name it, incredible pieces. Cannot say enough good things about this place and the amazing displays. This is located in the old Clarkdale high school, so happy it is being used for something original.

There are fewer things that bring me more delight when I travel than chancing across a small, unusual museum.
We hit the jackpot when we visited the Copper Art Museum this week.
It’s astonishing that someone was interested enough in a metal—ONE METAL—to curate an entire museum for one. Every room was a delight. We learned so much and spent two happy hours (about an hour longer than the average visitor) poking about.
Jan, the lovely receptionist who welcomed us, is a real asset to the museum and I wish her well.

Great little museum in a fun small town. Lots and lots of copper. I feel like I learned so much about copper, Clark family, and town of Clarkdale.

This small museum has lots to offer. Well worth a visit of about an hour. They have a very large collection and the items are nicely displayed. Quite fascinating.

When your Sedona visit has an all day rain forecast, where do you go? Arizona Copper Art Museum! (Though would be worth the visit even in better weather.) This was a spot not on our initial agenda, but glad we found it on the map and decided to explore. The history of copper, blended with useful and decorative copper pieces held our attention for a few hours. The employee that welcomed us was full of knowledge to share. Even the teens were fascinated by a number of pieces, especially the artillary art catching their eye.

Words can't describe our surprise and delight seeing this museum. This out of the way museum would be a hit in the largest city in the U.S. Thousands and thousands of curated pieces of worked copper, bronze and brass - the focus being copper. A family collection, labor of love, professionally displayed and lighted in a beautifully restored early 20th Century school building. The walk through the many rooms of the collection is overwhelming.

What a gem the copper museum is! We went on the recommendation of a friend and are very happy we did. Fascinating info about copper - history, uses, role in the development of this area, the Clark family and more. Housed in an old high school, there are rooms of copper items, 'museum morsels ' and science shown in a fascinating way. The gentleman at the desk was a wealth of information also. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
