Not what I expected from a Hilton hotel and also given the price. Husband booked me a manicure/pedicure for my birthday. There was one employee doing nail “services”. While she was extremely friendly, I could have done a better job myself. The pedicure/manicure were both bare minimum. No foot filing/buffing, no cuticle care…light shaping only. Polish job was terrible. Salon was silent/empty which made it awkward. At the first sign of complaint, the front desk offered 10% off. I would’ve rather had the time back.😕

Long story short- Mandara spa messed up our appointments form start to finish. I ended up having my credit card charged for services I neither booked nor received. 3 phone calls with the manager, Lena, 4 emails,assuring me they will make sure I am refunded for all of their errors in charging my card. It takes them 5 days to refund their mistakes resulting in extra charges to my card as per the fluctuating International interest rate over the 5 days to refund. I kindly offer to send Lena my credit card statement so she can "ensure I receive a full refund or their mistake" only to have her send me a generic email stating they are not responsible for fluctuating rates... even though I did not book, receive or authorize them to charge my credit card.... sounds criminal doesn't it? Not to mention the wasted time my family had to spend arguing the mess up in their booking and services. I have all the confirmation and emails backing up what I booked and authorized. The final straw , Lena decided that the best course of action is to just ignore my final email asking to be refunded the $10 she cost me. SHAME, so unprofessional. And charged in Full for the services we did receive, after the complete gong show you put us through. WOW.

The Swedish massage is a light touch relaxation massage. No Swedish happening. They spent all their effort dressing up the public spaces. The spa is SMALL and UNDERWHELMING with a changing room, showers, small steam room, small sauna, standard above ground hot tub and lounging space. They offer you tea, water and fruit cups. The Groupon was 99 the spa added 40 at the door for gratuity EACH and taxes. Not what I would expect for 280 for 2. Oh they said there would be an add on bonus service. It was wrapping our feet in hot towels. You must walk through the public areas in a robe to go to the massage area. I suggest you take the Sunset cruise on the catamaran instead.

The people at the front desk are not kind nor helpful. The facilities are poor. There is a plastic “spa” in a back room. Our hotel gave us a 20% off coupon which we attempted to use but “other restrictions apply” apparently meaning “sorry that’s just for advertising and we don’t honor what we print.” The only reason they get 2 stars instead of one is because the masseuse was quite good who hopefully finds a better than the environment he is in.

11月末にハワイ旅行し、ヒルトン内のマンダラスパでマッサージを受けました。パンフレットで2人で$290とプランを見つけ、申し込みました。ルームチャージにしてもらって、チェックアウトの時確認すると$460くらいの請求になっていました。驚いて、マンダラスパに問い合わせたところ、料金は$310に値上げしていて、深部マッサージの料金が一人$30、税金、さらにチップは一人$20で、二人だから$40と言うのです。
事前に合計金額を確認しないこともこちらの手落ちでしたが、有名スパなので、ここまで納得できない料金を請求されるとは思わず、せっかくのハワイ旅行、嫌な気持ちで帰ってきました。
みなさん、是非、お気を付けください。

So I was hesitant to come here based on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. So while I'm not a spa expert by any means, the spa definitely met my needs and I felt relaxed and ready for a long flight after. I got a massage (lomi lomi) and felt the masseuse listened to what I said I wanted her to pay more attention to and also felt like it was exactly the right amount of pressure. She was very nice and professional. The front desk staff were very nice as well. I also used the pool and showers. I didn't use the hot tubs or saunas. Everything was clean-ish. Actually what did bug me was other patrons. They would leave their robes and towels everywhere. Also would leave their razors and face towels in the shower. There are many places for you to deposit these items so I think patrons need to have a little more awareness on their own personal use. Also, the adult pool is a great escape from all the racket down at the pools and waikiki beach. Anyways, I felt fresh as a daisy after the spa and ready to leave Hawaii (as much as one can be).

I was surprised to read the bad reviews because I had a different experience. I booked my massage the day before the treatment. The receptionist wasn't very friendly, but she wasn't rude either. On the day of my appointment there were two different receptionists and they were both very friendly.
Prior to my massage I was offered a locker, robe, and slippers. I wasn't impressed with the steam room and sauna area so I just waited for the attendant to take me to my massage.
The massage room were located on a different floor. That area was beautiful. When I was taken back for my massage I was offered an upgrade, but I didn't take it. The massage itself was very good. It was much better than the last two massages I received recently. At the end I was offered a choice of water or tea. I had chamomile tea. Then she asked me if I wanted her to show me any products. I said no. She did not pressure me, which I appreciated. She seemed more intent on giving me a good massage. I was very happy with the service

We were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort. My husband suggested that I treat myself and get my hair done at the spa for a family wedding that afternoon. I showed stylist several photos of past blow-outs. She washed and blow dried my hair, which looked fine. Then before I knew what she was doing, she proceeded to use a curling iron to make sausage curls. When I realized what she was doing (since she turned me away from the mirror), I kept saying "No, my hair will frizz. My hair will frizz." She took huge hunks of hair and curled it anyway. My hair was frizzy before the wedding even started and I ended up twisting my hair into a clip for the reception. So I wasted $87.96 -- which was $70 for the shampoo and blow dry, $14 for the MANDATORY SERVICE CHARGE, and $3.96 for tax. Total waste of my money. I should have never have come here.

People who enjoy a massage, will try them on every trip. Some are better than others and I've never complained. For as nice as the Hilton Hawaiian Village is, this spa was a total let down and I GUARANTEE customers are leaving unhappy.

Our lovely experience started like this: I had booked 3 couples hot stone massages prior to arrival in Hawaii. This was for my husband, myself and our two daughters & their men. Upon arrival, and seeing that we could add a service, we each decided to "add on" either a Conditioning Scalp treatment or Foot treatment. The "Hawaiian-looking girl" at the front desk could not have been more unfriendly. SHE wrote the wrong add on, onto the wrong cards and then was aggravated when we asked to correct it. She became frustrated in trying to make the change in the computer and we were ultimately told not to worry that the correct service would be given. The little blonde girl was very nice and tried to help the situation.

Once in the room our therapists confirmed our service but she stated that my husband and I wanted the foot treatment, which was WRONG! I found out later that the person in our group that cannot stand his feet messed with, endured the foot treatment which he did not ask for or want.

Overall...
1. Facilities lacking (check out the Las Vegas offerings and you'll get the picture).
2. We had to walk through the LOBBY to get to the massage rooms and our men even
rode the elevator with a man in plain clothes... odd.
3. My therapist DROPPED STONES, loudly clanged the lid to the Nesco cooker the
stones were apparently warmed in and then put a scalding hot rock under my
shoulderblade that I asked him to remove. How is that for relaxing?
4. The conditioning scalp treatment was nothing more than oil dripped at my hair line
and then SQUEEZED through my hair. My scalp was not massaged at all... it simply
felt like he was ripping my hair out. My husband said his felt the same.

Having previously stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village, I wrongly told my kids that this massage would surely be amazing. It absolutely was not. Save your money and when in Vegas try the one at Bellagio or Caesars... they're a little more expensive but worth every cent.

Worth noting... I NEVER leave negative reviews unless something REALLY goes wrong. I took a picture of the rude receptionist "primping" her own makeup while we waited to be taken back for our massage...maybe she should have been fixing her errors to our services instead of fixing her makeup! Absolutely no ambience, I didn’t feel pampered at all! Outrageously expensive (as is the whole village)!

Therapist was only interested in selling me the products after my treatment 😡

My recommendation is to go and treat yourself elsewhere!
