We were pleasantly surprised by the Luau and Show. The Luau was buffet style with more than enough to eat, food was authentic and tasty, with hula dancers during the meal. Many people joined in with the dancers as they taught us how to do the hula.
The show after dinner was much more than a typical hula show, the progressed the hula dance from early 1900's until present. Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators were best we ever saw.

It’s not worth the the VIP price, as it seemed everyone had paid for it, so all got the same treatment.
All you got extra was the lei, and an extra drink, which I didn’t have time to get! The whole event was organized chaos. Everyone got up at the same time for the food, then they announced it was time for the desserts, but 5 minutes after that they announced it was time to go to the show and to make our way down, we hadn’t even got our desserts as the line was too long and when we did they had ran out of plates!
The food was very good though! The show was good, the Hawaiian dancers and fire man were all excellent. Elvis and Michael Jackson were good too, but would have liked a more traditional show. When it was all finished we came out and the bar was closed, so didn’t get to use my other drink ticket!!

The buffet was delicious. Everything looked and tasted so delicious. Ukulele playing familiar tunes during cocktail hour. Hula dancers during the meal. This is a fun, family, friendly entertainment. I Highly recommend the VIP package

The food was good but the show was too short, a lot of time out of the hour it lasted was spent celebrating people who were in the audience. Didn't have much time left for the performance which in itself was good.

This buffet dinner has a variety of delicious food, and there was plenty to go around. You sit at a large table and get to meet other travelers, which makes for nice conversations. An opportunity to learn how to hula between dinner and the show. The show itself is amazing and very enjoyable. Highly recommend to all types of families - young to older.

It was a night with rock and hula and definitely more than I expected . A lot of fun, talent and entertainment.

Well, the first thing is dont bother to go early to get a good seat In a meeting the middle. The herd you like sheep and make you move down all the way to the end of the row, even when there are many seats In a meeting the middle vacant. And that’s when you have a VIP ticket! It was very rude!
The show started 20 minutes late. The show was OK but nothing great. Elvis impersonator was fair, the Michael Jackson impersonator had a decent voice but picture of Michael Jackson +40 pounds. They had a weird spotlights on the stage facing the audience which from time to time would blind you.
The hula dancers were OK, not five star, but did a good job. All in all, the show was definitely not worth $76.

We had so much fun at the show and met other couples who were very nice to chat with.
The dancers during dinner were mesmerizing with their skills.
We loved our experience and highly recommend this activity when visiting Waikiki!

Our third luau so decided to try something different. Great food and hospitality in the first half. Then into the Theatre for the show. It was great fun and very well put on. Loved everyone in it. Great way to end our holiday, and only a short walk from our hotel!

The last two years we have seen the same show. We will be visiting again this summer. Will the show be different for July 2020 than the last two years.

We saw the show with Elvis and Michael Jackson. We enjoyed it so much that we could easily see it every year. We talked to Michael Jackson impersonator for 30 minutes after the show which was very interesting and fun for us. You should go see it again and the show may be a little different from 2 years ago.

I'm trying to decide whether to do the VIP or just the show. I noticed you said just the show. I'm wondering what the difference is in the quality of viewing the show if you don't buy the VIP meal. Cannot imagine that the VIP meal is worth the additional $90 or so. But I'm just concerned how good the "cheap seats" are. No idea how large the place is. Thanks!

This is our poinion, VIP meal was too much for us,so $90dallers meal was little expencive. But it was so good. Foutunatlly, we seated at the front line of the down level.So I got a flowerlei. Elvis go around upper level also. The thaeter is not so big, so even if you seat at upper level seat, you can enjoy the show well.

Maybe opt for just the show rather than the ones with a meal.. The theatre is small enough for a good view so I'm sure he will enjoy it
