Bus was 45 minutes late.Tour ended early.Guide thought he was a comedian, was not.Drove in circles.

The places you visit are perfect. You spend the perfect amount of time at the memorial and the punchbowl is beautiful. Our guide, however, not good. He was very hard to understand (which admittedly could have been the fault of the microphone). He told stories that had nothing to do with the tour (I do not care where you played basketball as a kid). He also seemed very vocal about local and federal government/politics. I did not go on this tour to listen to someone go on and on about how they stole land from the indigenous people. Yes we know it happened, but this is not the tour for that.

I mean, you can probably inform yourself as much as you need to on the internet to be fair. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate what went down there; however, the boat part of the excursion felt pointless.

This tour was terrible, the driver promoted his political opinions about ABC stores in Hawaii, he spoke nonstop about a trader called Don Quijote which is a cheap discount store. He drove us around this store and did not take us to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific which was meant to be included in the tour.
Not what we expected at all.
We then discovered it was free to enter Pearl Harbour and could have got there and back by public bus for $12 USD.
This tour is not worth the money and would not recommend. You can see the same sites and more on your own using the local bus system.
I also do not think it is appropriate to have a sign asking for tips. Most people understand tipping in the US is the norm. Having a sign to suggest doing so is bad taste. If the driver is fun and friendly and follows the program, people will reward their service.
Avoid this tour and talk to the concierge at your hotel for the best way to visit Pearl Harbour, which is definitely worth a visit.

This was my second visit to Pearl Harbour. Unfortunately we did not get out to the Arizona memorial as conditions were deemed too windy for the boat trip. The rating I have given is based on lack of facilities, namely a decent sit-down cafe with a reasonable selection of food and decent coffee. We were in a organised bus tour from Waikiki so had to wait around for departure time. The toilet facilities were disappointing too, they definitely could have been cleaner and tidier! On a positive note, the museum and film/doco were very good.

Our driver was excellent and the visit was well managed. Would have liked to see the inside of the palaces, and also the Missouri....probably more money.

Ahead of the tour we were updated by text with any pickup changes. The time changed twice and the pickup location also changed, so we were abit concerned about making the correct place. Picking time was now 7:55 instead of 8:30.
Alot of tours picked up from our spot, by 8:15 we were thinking we weren't in the right spot, but at 8:20 our coach arrived. It was detailed as a small tour but was one of the larger coaches. There were 42 guests, not too big.
Robert was our guide. He had a big personality, was quite loud. We had to constantly cheer various things. More comfortable for the American guests I expect.
He was very knowledgeable and the tour took in a few venues; the justice courts, palaces, statues, and Pacific cemetery on the crater as well as Pearl Harbour.
Pearl Harbour was a must see, and we would recommend this tour and tour operator if you were thinking of going.

Pearl Harbor itself was very nice and interesting but our tour guide Ariel was so very unprofessional from the moment we got on board he was treating us very poorly and began to argue with everyone who was late for pick up when there was no official pick up spot given to any one of the people who boarded the bus it was such a hostile ride to Pearl Harbor no one was allowed to talk on the bus as if we were in grade school everyone was afraid to speak up and say anything then he made us get in a single file like as if we were children then he kicked us off of the tour and said we were on our own and after that he threatened to fight two of the people who were on this tour with us so unacceptable he did not show any remorse he didn’t care I can’t believe they have someone like him working for their tour guide I feel sorry for the people who had to stay on that hostile bus with him

Soulful experience! This is our first trip to Hawaii. We chose Oahu because we felt we couldn't come all this way and not see Pearl. We were right.

Respectfully done memorial
We booked a tour with a pick up from near to our hotel.
Bus was held up so a little delayed starting but that was a minor frustration.
Tour guide dropped us at entrance & recommended where to go at The Pearl Harbour site.
There are restrooms near entrance, (shamefully dirty, they need to mop the floors, in our whole holiday in Hawaii these were dirtiest toilets we used, experience elsewhere v clean). There is a gift shop & drinks vending machines. There is not much shade outside the buildings so you need a hat & loads of sunscreen.
There is a video you can opt to see before going out to the Arizona, it’s about 30 minutes in length so we left it until after the Arizona boat trip to ensure we didn’t run out of time.
Efficient loading & unloading of passengers & round trip handled by navy personnel.
15 minutes is allowed at the memorial. As you disembark the previous boat passengers get loaded for their return trip.
A veteran gave a talk/ briefing on the Arizona, it’s crew, their resting place. He also told us there is one remaining survivor.
There is a warning that bad weather can stop the boats docking so there is a risk you wouldn’t be able to get off the boat to see Arizona resting place so close up.
Moving experience. Respectfully done. There are so many visitors it’s moving to know the lost men are never alone x

Hello,
Are there any rules for wanting to spread a loved ones ashes in Pear Harbor? My Grandfather died on the USS Arizona, and I want to release my mothers ashes there so she can be with her father. There will be a small group of 6 people, and we do not want to make a scene, but I don't want to do anything illegal. Can anybody help me out? Its difficult to find information about releasing ashes specificity at Pear Harbor.
