素晴らしいダイニングルームは入れませんし、見ることも出来ません。また、ロビーの半分は臨時のレストランになっています。

Hotel en forma de “Y” rústico y en combinación con el entorno. El hotel fue diseñado por el mismo arquitecto que diseñó Zion Lodge , Bryce Canyon Lodge y Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge y se considera una obra maestra de " parkitecture ". El hotel está situado debajo de los Arcos Reales y el sitio fue elegido por su exposición al sol, que permite el calentamiento natural, y por sus vistas de varios íconos de Yosemite, incluidos Glacier Point , Half Dome y Yosemite Falls.

J'avais un souvenir extraordinaire de ce temple du luxe il y a 40 ans ! Mais quelle décadence !!! Un minimum d'entretien ? Les toilettes seraient indignes d'un McDo !

This is one of those historic NPS hotel that invokes both majesty of the location as well as the historic setting. It is an incredible and unique hotel set in an amazing setting. The exterior appears that it was carved out of the granite cliffs while the interior displays a size and scale of a glorious time past before technology made the world small. In today's world of tourism, grand public spaces like lobby's and retail areas are gone. However, here is a hotel that is as expansive as the valley itself.
We stayed here one night and enjoyed it greatly. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant which is just as amazing. While expensive, it is so nice to stay in the park and to enjoy its amazing amenities like a medieval banquet size fireplace. Again, I can not say enough great things about our stay here. It is simply one of the premier stays in the National Park system.

I stayed here two nights after staying at the Wawona and the Yosemite Valley Lodge. If the Wawana can be compared to a Fairfield Inn and the Valley Lodge to a Courtyard by Marriott, then the Ahwahna is surely the Ritz Carlton. However, since Ahwahna is in the middle of Yosemite, is 100 years old, and is rustic and rugged, don't really think you're going to the Ritz. It's gorgeous: the views and surroundings, the interior, the exterior. I'm not one to mingle or hang in public hotel areas, but the Ahwahna interior and multiple seating areas (plus the pianist playing, the floor to ceiling windows, and the gigantic fireplaces) draw you in. Trailhead to Mirror Lake and the Lower Yosemite Falls are right next to the parking lot and it's a short jaunt to Yosemite village. Shuttle also picks up right in the parking lot. Year-around outdoor pool is heated to the 80s. Downside: the bar restaurant always has a long wait and the exquisite main dining room is pricey, average food, and often requires a reservation. I hope with Covid and Great Resignation recovery, the food situation will improve. If you have the money, stay here at least 1-2 nights. If not, shuttle over and enjoy the lovely ambiance.

There is so much history in the lobby. I enjoyed walking in each room to see the photos and the history. The hotel outside is also gorgeous with the views of the half dome. Would recommend stopping in for a look around and a snack from the sweet shop!

It's been about 20 years since my spouse and I had been to Yosemite. I was happy that the hotel re-assumed its original name! We used to enjoy having a meal in the Ahwahnee Dining Room, but since there is no longer any table service, we skipped it this trip. The hotel itself makes for a beautiful and relaxing stop. Sitting in any of the magnificent public areas and enjoying the fires burning in the fireplaces, the decor, and the ambience is a pleasure.

Beautiful building... wish we could have stayed here. We walked around to admire the beauty of tapestries, windows, woodworking and stunning beauty of the area.
We did end up eating here for dinner outside the tavern area near the pool. Ordered drinks and a few menu items inside and it was delightful. Glad we did eat here because food options are pretty limited in the park during Covid. The food was really good too. You can only get dining room reservations if you stay there. You can show up and be put on a waiting list, but no guarantees you will get in.

Enjoyed learning about some of the history of the buildings. Restoration in fairly good shape , lots to enjoy! Real stain glassed windows, basket ware, old photos, pottery, sunny windows, views, quiet!!!
