It’s a very local experience not something that the average foreigner might pursue but we found it fascinating. Getting to the cable car requires an auto rickshaw which our hotel arranged. Once there the security staff kindly took us in Hand to guide us through the somewhat complicated arrangements to access cable car. It wasn’t exactly Swiss standard but worked. Once there we headed for the close by temple. It being a religious holiday we weren’t the only ones. It’s colourful and fascinating.

The temple was crowded but you have the choice of buying the premium darshan tickets (real time saver!). The tickets you buy for Chandi Devi temple can also be used at the Mansa Devi temple. In our view this is a very good deal. The cable car services are usually preferred by a majority of the people visiting the temple and it carries the pilgrims directly from the lower station to the temple. It is convenient and offers good views of the surrounding areas. Form the Har ki Pauri area, the temple is about 20-25mnts away in an e-Rikshaw.

It was a very nice experience, left our car in hotel and went chandi devi temple by auto. Kids enjoyed the cable car and the natural beauty. I will recommed every one to visit this place.

You can reach this temple by foot which steep 2km walk and the path is generally well made but most travelers prefer to use ropeway which costs INR 200/- per person and you reach less than 5mins except on crowded season which is Navratri.

Go there early morning before the crowd gets in. If possible, avoid weekends. We went there tuesday morning around 7.30 and it was perfect. There wasnt much wait time.

Go early in the morning to avoid rush. ropeway takes u close to the temple. Good views from top of the hill.

This temple situated across the Ganga from Mansa Devi temple has adequate parking for cars. You can either walk up which is steep or easily take a ropeway ride to the top. Beware of monkeys there which will snatch food and even water. Darshan is pretty decent and not rushed. You can buy Prasad and offerings from the shops which are in huge numbers outside.

The temple is located on the Neel parvat on the hills in the holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand state. It is a siddha peeth where desires get fulfilled and one of the panch teerths in Haridwar. As per mythology, Goddess Parvati took the form of Chandi and killed demons Shumbh - Nishumbh & Chand - Mund at this place. Flowers, sweets, garland, insence sticks are offered to the deity and can buy from INR 50. It is about 4 kms from Har ki Poudi and entry is free. We used cable car to go to the temple which cost us INR 193.

Went on the rope way that takes you to close to the temple was pleased with the experience the staff is efficient and courteous being a senior citizen and using a walking stick a staff member brought us the tickets and took us via a special gate to the trolley and also made sure that on the way back we get special treatment
Our purpose was just the trolley ride at sunset time and did not visit the temple sharing few pics of the view

I have planned to visit haridwar and rishikesh with family on arrival to haridwar at 1200pm on 06 October 18 and departure at 1800pm 07Oct18. Kindly provide itinerary with best possible not hectic as with old aged parents and children including important places of visit and mode of conveyence

If u hv only 6 hours I would recommend limit to haridwar. Places to visit Hari ki pauri, Chandi Devi and Manasa Devi temple. Get vip pass for both which will help u cut thru the queues.. trip from haridwar to rishikesh would be 3 -4 hours plus for return and allow 2 hours for ram and laxman joohla. Keep rishikesh for next time

Hello, Tickets are available at the counter at base of each Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi, you can get a combined ticket for both places from window and they carry you through bus from one place to another. Have nice journey. Timing I think are till 5 pm only

Buying the entry ticket is very simple and does not take more than a few minutes. Would suggest that you buy entry tickets for both Chandidevi and Mansadevi temple at Chandidevi counter iself so that you could save time at Mansadevi. For both the temple you could take the ropeway.

I would recommend first visit Chandi Devi and to buy combined ticket from Chandi Devi as Mansa Devi is very near to Har ki Paudi (Walk able distance 1 KM). After visit of Mansa Devi, you can go for evening Arti at Har ki Paudi. Combined ticket, I think of Rs.600/- per pax.

I am going to Har ki Pauri and then planning to visit to both temples- Chandi devi and Mansa devi temple via ropeway. I know that there is a single ropeway connecting both the temples. Please help me in
1. From where to book the tickets for this ropeway and how far is this place from Har Ki Pauri?
