Great experience, the grandkids loved it. Sophie was a very friendly and informative guide. Beautiful scenery made the visit even better. Highly recommended.

Wow I wish we could give this more than five stars
The weather was awful but that didn’t matter at all. The llamas didn’t seem bothered by some rain
Easy to find and the tour starts with a quick talk about the llamas
Once done you get a short training session and test walk
Then a trek around the local farm land. It was so nice just to walk with these magnificent animals and so stress free.
The two wonderful people running this knew so much about the llamas and it was fascinating to learn about there ways and habits
If the weather was better then I think the views are better
What an amazing experience and I never knew llamas could jump so high

Had a lovely afternoon meeting the owner Derek and his llamas. Derek gave a lovely talk on the llamas. We then did the training, before going off on our trek. To finish we did some agility with Caspa, guiness world record holder x2!! Highly recommend this experience.

Couldn’t have asked for a better llama trekking experience. I was only really expecting a couple of photos and a little walk with a llama for the £31.25pp we paid, but got so much more! The land we trekked on had beautiful wild areas and an amazing view of the mountains, we had a great tour guide who taught us lots about llamas and llama handling, we got multiple photo opportunities, we got to do an agility course with one of the llamas and got to feed them! I couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day! Well worth the money!

The weather was turning bad and rain was forecast, so we were unsure how the afternoon would pan out; I needn’t have worried as we had a absolutely amazing experience today.
The owner couldn’t attend but her able assistant’s briefing passed on all we needed to know about our gentle new friends, then we were away on the trek, accompanied by Dexter and Bertie. At no point did I feel worried about the terrain or how my cheeky charge would occasionally grab passing leaves and grasses.
I barely noticed the rugged beauty of the background peaks and valleys, as it was just so pleasant to be strolling along beside such an unusual beastie. The walk ended with a photo op against a cloud-enshrouded peak, followed by letting them feed from grains in our palms and meeting the rest of the pack. Finally, we took turns to briefly take Caspa the mega-star for some hurdling and weaving around the obstacle course.
We learned such a lot about llamas, alpacas, guanacos and vicuñas (that they are descended from) and how they support and maintain the human population in their native lands; my biology classes at school were never this much fun.
As we left, we realised that we were wet from the rain cloud that had descended from a neighbouring peak but we hadn’t noticed, as our attention had been captivated by our new four-legged pals.
Would we visit again? Absolutely! Value for money? Worth every penny! Without doubt, it was the highlight of our week in North Wales.

Superb! We had a wonderful afternoon. Unbelievably friendly staff and llamas! We enjoyed every minute and had great fun. Learning about the llamas was really interesting, and not boring for the younger ones, but pitched perfectly, a great balance of enough information to keep them interested but also be fun and informative. Then, the llamas themselves! What beautiful, intelligent animals, with such personality! Fantastic. Plus, wonderful photos. Brilliant ending with the assault course and feeding them. Could have asked for nothing more...

The day was well planned out as we started off with meeting the llamas and had a quick practice walk to make us feel comfortable before taking them on a longer walk. Great opportunity for pictures along the way too! There were some parts of the walk that were a bit tricky/bumpy especially with 2 people and a llama trying to walk the same part at the same time! But a great family day out!!

Absolutely fantastic afternoon enjoying a lovely trek with the llamas and Derek. The llamas are brilliant and so well trained and we got to take part in some llama agility with Casper too. We’d definitely recommend it as a must do when visiting Black Rock/Porthmadog
