Completely misrepresented apartment by booking.com
Filthy dirty, mice droppings and building work next door. Only 4 spots working out of 16 in both living room and kitchen. Curtains hanging off tracks and sofas so stained not fit for purpose.
Tried to complain nicely to managing agents buy to no avail.
Great view!

Sheltered bay that is well loved and used by residents and visitors all year round.

Hotels, ice cream parlours, cafes, amusement arcade, small pier, all the things that remind you of the idealised seaside experience.

This is one of several adjacent bays, so you can easily walk to ay of the adjoining bays, with beach huts and even a tidal saltwater swimming pool.

Three different parts of our extended family have now moved and settled in Broadstairs.

I needed a break and was thinking where can I go for a few days under the circumstances with Covid.
Decided to go to Broadstairs in Kent. I have been there a few times, never stayed. Walked past The Royal Albion Hotel many times.
Decided to be book a couple of days. What a good decision that was,the staff are friendly, helpful
and they work as a family.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The views on to the beach were fabulous, so relaxing!
As for the breakfast, you are certainly spoiled, what a good choice.
The location was good to get about to and from other places.

There is something special about Broadstairs and Viking Bay in particular. The whole place just oozes class, Apart from the very clean beach with golden sands, the place is well organised, and has some interesting features like the bandstand, the gentle cliff walk and even a functioning cliff lift. As well as exceptional pubs /cafes we were fascinated by the former lifeboat station with its wooden panel and very "untrue" walls and roof. There are some great views towards the chalk cliffs of North Foreland and Margate.
The whole of the town, and especially Viking bay looked so clean, and inviting.

Cant understand the previous reviews as the beach was clean and no sign of sewage.

Sand was lovely and clean and enjoyed a quiet walk. Its small but has lovely paibted beach huts. Imagine in the summer months its very popular

Filthy hole we came here from London with my 2 children aged 6 and 8. The beach is covered in sewage and literally poo floating in the sea! The locals are unfriendly and are either aloof or have mental health problems. Empty bottles and cans of alcohol fill the already over flowing bins which come from locals. Food overpriced more expensive than the West end. We won't be back. Dirty dangerous place.

So many great eateries and bars surround this beach which makes it the perfect day out! When the sun is shining you could very easily compare Viking Bay to any beach abroad. The sand is golden and soft and it’s SO clean! Dogs are not allowed on this beach however, just around the corner you will find a dog friendly area for your furry companion.

Visited Broadstairs September 15-17. Had a quick walk from accommodation to the Pavilion in Viking Bay for breakfast. When we left with our dog we were let out of the pub via a gate that led onto the walking boards on the beach, these in turn led us onto a tarmac path to the rear of the beach. As we walked to the rear of the beach we saw a sign
Beach inspectors office. As we walked by we were shouted at “No dogs on the beach”. After asking where to get off it we were told to go back when if we just walked on we would have been off the beach. Also told “come back in October they are allowed on then”. Well let’s just say we spoke yo some wonderful people during our stay but the
“Inspector” wasn’t one of them
