First off had to switch campsites as ours was full of water only a few left to choose from, we choose the one with the least water however the grass was not cut and the mosquitoes were horrific, millions and millions swamed us we could not even walk to the bathroom let alone have a fire.not impressed and not going back

First time visiting this national park. Our group was all impressed. A bit disappointed that many trails were closed as well the road to the bison herd. Not the park’s fault. Mother Nature rules. What we did enjoy was all the biking trails. Two kiddos in our group, one just learning to pedal, the bike trails were a big hit. We all biked from the campground to the Wishing Well for lunch and returned via the townsite for ice-cream of course. The campground has been hit by recent storms. Some sites under water and some with fallen trees. Our sites were fine. The shower house clean. The outside sink for washing dishes was awesome! Great trip!

Savoir qu'en février, le village est à peu près vide, les routes peuvent être glissantes, les sentiers pédestres peuvent être limités ou moins entretenus. Quand on le sait, on se prépare, et on apprécie les beaux paysages. Service bilingue.

We did a couple of short hikes here and really enjoyed the park. Saw the herd of buffalo which was our main reason for visiting. The road through the park was a crazy high speed limit and we really didn't feel safe on the old road. One lane in a lot of spots with lots of twists, turns and blind spots. Be careful driving through.

Me and my mom enjoyed our time in Riding Mountain National Park and got a chance to hike bald hill and it was real challenge but it was fun.

The townsite was virtually closed when we were there. Two spots open to spend cash at. The campground had a nice vibe to it as there were 3 occupied site when i rode my bike around it.
More deer that one would ever expect in an afternoon

This was our first stay in Riding Mountain National Park camping in Wasagaming campground.

We found the campground to have excellent amenities and really well maintained.

Situated a short walk from the village of Wasagaming and the shores of Clear lake it is a jumping off point to explore this wonderful park with several roads and many trails of varying difficulty. There is plenty of wildlife to see and we saw black bears, bison, moose, deer, and many birds including swans, eagles, hawks and geese as well as numerous smaller songbirds. Nature is plentiful here.

When visiting here be prepared for changeable weather, be bear smart, and check the parks website for updates on requirements closures and measures to protect this place from invasive species, for example boats must be inspected, decontaminated if necessary and issued a permit to operate.

Lovely place. We will be visiting here much more often.

Every summer we drive to this incredible place. Fresh clear water, quaint little village of shops and tonnes of amenities for families. So many cool day hikes, and lots of areas to swim and explore.
