Que gran experiencia, es emocionante conocer la historia del tabaco dominicano, importante hacer una reserva previa, nosotros llegamos a las 10 am, una hora perfecta para el recorrido, vale la pena hacer este recorrido. Eugenio (nuestro anfitrión) deja junto con los grandes trabajadores de La Aurora un legado para el mundo.

Amazing day out at La Aurora cigar factory, was shown around by none other than Eduardo himself who is a direct descendant of the family. The staff went above and beyond on the tour and I went on a journey through the whole process of the tobacco and cigar life. The shop at the end was jaw dropping and had loads to choose from including coffee and rum and hats... Amazing experience 5*.

So fun!! Eugenio was great you can tell he really knows his cigars! The tour was very informative and super fun!! 10/10 would recommend.

On a ten day cruise this was our favorite port tour. The factory does a fascinating and informative tour of their hand rolled and machine made cigars. It is well done. There is freedom to view up close the workers rolling the cigars. Everyone has the opportunity to sample and smoke a cigar during the tour. At the conclusion of the tour a visit to the gift shop without pressure allows for purchase of cigars, local coffee, and gifts. Very nicely done.

We arrived without reservation, but Eugen gave us a tour through the factory eventhough it was almost closing time.
The tour was very interesting, we smoked a cigar with him and used the opportunity to buy some cigars in the shop. Eugen was super friendly and sympathetic, he really made an effort!

We will be cruising on the Carnival Ecstasy and arriving in Amber Cove --- we want to visit La Aurora and tour the factory. Do we have to make reservations ahead of time or just show up for a tour? How much was the tour and what all did you do? My BF is a huge cigar enthusiast and this is his birthday which is the reason we picked this cruise. Also, was it mandatory that you wear closed shoes too? TIA

You dont need a resv. But when you arrived the factory request Eugine Palanco for the tour if he is not available wait for him. You will enjoy. 👍
