This place with very meager facilities was full of migrant birds and good for a morning walk or a bicycle trip, but my friends said that in a hot weather it may be a nightmare.

This is one of the worst bird sanctuary I have ever seen.
Pros:
- all around, you will only find couples doing their only routine activities.
- you will keep walking in a straight path for a km and won't get anything attractive to see.
- take your vehicle if you want to get it stolen or just want to keep thinking about it being parked on main road.
- take your DSLR camera if you are super rich to spend Rs.500 for normal photography of love-birds.
- MUST VISIT if you want to spend your money on people in this sanctuary department.
Cons:
- nothing as such

1.firstly there is no place to park vehicle.
2 there was only a gatekeeper to change for the entrance fee and I was told by him that he is all alone in the sanctuary. There were carts at entrance but no driver. There was nobody to guide us or even help us in taking us around.i wonder how the government runs sanctuary without staff or it may be that they take salary from govt and stay at home.what a shame .

I along with my friend Dr Jishnu visited Okhla Bird Sanctuary on 24th Sept 2022. It was heavily raining in the previous days and hovering were there in the morning. However, we went for Birding. Rs.500 charges for the camera and entry fee were collected at the entry point. Around 57 kinds of species were identified even though it is an off-season (migratory season begins by Oct or Mid of October). The sanctuary is maintained well. One thing noticed is that the sanctuary has more loving couples than Birders :)

Okhla bird sanctuary is a long walk besides River Yamuna. There is some greenery inside and are a few benches where one can sit after a walk for some relaxation.
We did not find birds here.
Entry point is besides the Okhla Barrage Road and there is a limited road side parking here. There is a Entry ticket of 30 per head for the place.

Okhla Bird Sanctuary is a hidden place in the concrete jungle. There are many migratory birds that flew here during winters.
The ideal time to visit this place is Dec-Feb to spot birds in a large number especially flamingoes.
The place is refreshing for nature lovers. It is a paradise for photographers and insta-clickers.
One can spend a nice couple of hours here.
Carts are also available for a quick tour.
There are two entrances, the main entrance parking is at Okhla metro station, and it is a 1km walk from there to reach the gate.
The other gate entrance is from Noida. you can park your vehicle right outside the gate. This gate is near to bird watching area.

If the purpose be to keep people away from this little slice of 'nature', then the authorities are doing a commendable job!
1. You would be turned off by the pungent smell around the entrance from the nearby open drain
2. No place to park your car - even as you walk inside the sanctuary, half your mind will be occupied with the thought of having left your car out on the highway and fear of it possibly being towed away
3. It has the highest charges for still photography (DSLR / non DSLR) I have EVER seen at a place of tourist interest @ 500 INR (Videography @ 5000 INR - sup vloggers?!). Doesn't matter if it's not for professional purposes - they are going to extort it out of you (for one, by not even offering a place to deposit your camera should you consider going in without it after seeing the prohibitive pricing). So if you have arrived by public transport, suck it and pay up.
Oh btw, according to an article in the Hindustan Times, there officially is no charge for still photography as per a UP govt ruling in 2015 - but good luck fighting it out with the people in charge, when the website and the display board continue to show the extortive rates!
But despite all this, you know what really hurts?? It's when you hear people coming out saying things like "Paise barbaad! Kuch bhi dekhne ko nahi..." (Absolute waste of money! Nothing to see at all...). Come on guys - if you're trying to keep away people to create a safe space for nature, at least do it right!

Known as a haven for over 300 bird species, especially waterbirds.
In 1990, an area of 3.5 square kilometres (1.4 sq mi) on the river Yamuna was designated a bird sanctuary by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The site is located at the point where the river enters Uttar Pradesh. The most prominent feature of the sanctuary is the large lake created by damming the river, which lies between Okhla village to the west and Gautam Budh Nagar to the east.

you will not catch lovely birds here. so be careful. do not waste time to visit here.
fees are also high . you will totally disappointed. still if you want to visit then come in morning 6 am to 7 am . that is the best time to see whatever birds are there as birds rise early.

No there aren't, you might find a couple of rickshaw inside. But it's a good walk, if you are okay walking the stretch of roughly 3 kms and back.

I have a pigeon with one wing, as it was attacked by some dog. I have treated the pigeon for about 2 months bt no sign of wing coming back. Can i leave it in the bird sanctuary so that it can be comfortable with other birds and enjoy nathures beauty?

Nature works on "Survival of Fittest". If you wish to go against the natural process, keep it with you. At sanctuary it will not ne able to find food fighting against of its kind. Moreover, i have seen domestic dogs inside sanctuary.

Authorised car parking available? if yes then charges?
Pulkita
Noida, India828 bidrag
no authorised car parking available. but mostly people park right outside the gate by the road. I usually go from the Okhla Barrage side and park on the road. And one would usually go pretty early morning to this place so theres not much traffic.

Do they provide changing rooms?
Pulkita
Noida, India828 bidrag
Its a bird sanctuary, very close to the city. Yes its true there probably are no changing rooms or any other public facilities in the premises. Its not like bharatpur where you have a information centre and guides and facilities and bikes on rent etc... this one you can walk all the way through to the other side.
However you will find a few watch towers.

Do they have changing rooms for pre wedding shoot purpose?
Pulkita
Noida, India828 bidrag
This might not be the most ideal location for a pre wedding shoot. there;s not much scenic beauty as such. you go there to watch the birds that are in a distance. often with binoculars.
apart from that its just an empty straight road. and your bride will have to walk a lot in her fancy attire.
also you run the risk of scaring the birds away with the colorful clothes that you might be wearing and that might not be welcomed by other people who are there for bird watching. people might have a problem, and if they call the authorities, you'll be in deep trouble because I'm assuming you will not get official permission for a pre wedding shoot there. even if you try, its difficult to manage it with noida authority.
just a suggestions, why dont you try worlds of wonder instead.. your bride and groom can have fun on the numerous rides while you shoot them smiling all the way.
Or if you must have the green in the background... lodhi garden is great or you could do the mughal feel with humayuns tomb! think about it.
Let the poor birds be.
