Pretty little gardens high on a promontory, overlooking the Steam Trains, it has the war memorial within it and a nice ice cream vendor.

The castle remains are a wonder of how they can keep upright as they are canted over at such an angle. "Slighted" destroyed in the Civil war presumably by undermining? I couldn't find any display bard that described how it was done?

A nice and peaceful area inside the bustle of Bridgnorth High Town.

Climb up the steep (!!) stairs across from the Severn Valley railway Station (better than the road) and you come across some really nice gardens (and I'm a bloke)

I can understand why Bridgnorth have won accolades for beautiful gardens.

More importantly you can chill out ... until you spot the hostile pruned tank etc..

Very tidy and well maintained park, with castle ruins within. Worth climbing the steps from the bridge!

Nice walk to the garden with lots of lovely views of the river, a very pretty garden with lots of flowers in bloom, made a difference as it was a sunny day, very well cared for, well worth a visit.

Nice views, the gardens themselves were a real picture in full bloom - a credit to all the staff involved.
Loved the 3 topiaries - a tank, aircraft & warship plus the leaning tower!
Ice creams looked pretty good but we didn't have any.

Nice little garden in town. Probably only takes 15 mins to get around but seeing a ruin still standing whilst on that angle was pretty spectacular. Got some good views of the railway and river Severn.

Our young grandson loved the “broken castle” and the gardens

I love wandering around these gardens. Even when it’s busy at weekends you don’t feel crowded. Very peaceful and relaxed.
There is also a caravan that’s sells great coffee and ice cream a few days a week.

The remaining lump of Bridgnorth Castle, now part of a public park. Due to its fragility (it stands at about a 30 degree angle) it is fenced off from closer access.

Interesting place - but not the most beautiful ruin.
