The water can be heated up to 37 degrees, it’s good to call up and let them know before your session that you’d like it warmer as it takes time to warm up. I feel the cold and float comfortably with the water temperature at 36.2. Standard setting is usually skin temperature between 34-35 degrees at the Float Spa :)

This is a great question and the one which is most often asked. You can most certainly keep the lid open, it is manually operated so it's easy to pull and push open with your finger tips. This is why we decided to buy the pods we did, as we felt having our customers would prefer this as opposed to automatic locking ones. Just for reference Claustrophobia is more of a control fear as opposed to being in a small space. We spend as much time as needed during the consultation to help you overcome any concerns and if needed we are more than happy to show you around the float pod prior to booking - as we know this does help with the most claustrophobic of clients. They certainly are. They are 8 foot 6 long by 5 foot 6 wide. When you are inside you can sit very comfortably as they are 4 foot 6 high. I am sure you wouldn't be getting your tape measure out when you are inside - but the thing to remember they are really big. Most people can spread out like a star fish as they feel spacious. They were designed by two guys who are 6 ft 7" so they know a thing about space and what is needed.

What a brilliant question. Where do we begin. I am sure we could talk for England on how amazing this is. First and foremost floating is a practice where you float effortlessly in a special pod of Epsom Salt water. Imagine not having the constant noise of analysing the world around you? This enables your body to lower its levels of cortisol (which is the main chemical component of stress). Your brain is then able to release elevated levels of dopamine and endorphins. Your muscles, joints, and bones are able to take a well-deserved break. Your mind becomes still and your body suddenly has loads of extra resources, which allows it to focus on things like healing and resting meaning the stress simply floats away.

We have a full time Manager Sarah who works 40 hours per week, plus Camille the owner in on site full time hours also. Most members of the team have been working at the spa for over two years now and are very experienced. We are just wondering who you are referring to?
