It is great to hear that you were able to do the Coastal Walkway trip. Health and safety and sustainability are key values underpinning our company. Our minimum numbers are formulated to ensure we can pay our team a reasonable living wage and maintain our vehicles for the safety of our team and customers. We are a company that goes out of the way for doing the very best we can and pride ourselves on our reputation and level of hospitality we provide as experienced by the thousands of others who have actually been with our company. As promised, we had done our best to find additional people for the tour by notifying accommodation providers and booking agents in the area to fill the additional seat to enable a confirmed departure. When this had proved unsuccessful, we also notified the other operator to check as to whether they were able to help. It is unfortunate that this consideration seems to not have been passed on to you during your tour. Our cut-off time is 5.30pm the day prior to the tour to allow for people arriving in town late in the day, and you were informed of the need for minimum numbers when your booking was made. Your reference to “unreliable operators” seems extreme, in that all we did was miss your one phone call at 3.30pm. Your need to spread discontent with this review on top of the verbally abusive phone call you made to our office clearly indicates that not all Kiwi’s currently enjoying travelling around Aotearoa have heeded the call to “be kind”…. Your feedback is not representative of our company or the experiences of others as well documented on this site.
