People there couldn't have been nicer, clearly busy but went out of their way to accommodate us. Enjoyed the tasting and platter was excellent, all quality. Really lovely place, will be back.

Had the Long Lunch here on Saturday. Lovely flavours and a nice mix of dishes, paired with matching wines. Easily able to accommodate dietary needs such as GF. Good attentive service and explanations of the dishes. Would have preferred slightly larger servings of the dishes.

The food was beautifully presented and was a gourmet experience.
However we felt like stopping for a takeaway on the way home as the Long lunch menu was tasty but did nothing to satisfy a good appetite.

We went for a wine tasting and the famous long lunch.
From the moment we arrived it was magical. I have special dietary needs and was specifically catered for. Our 5 courses were creative and delicious served with perfectly matched wines.
Our hosts were a wealth of knowledge, warm and welcoming.
The setting and scenery were photo perfect and knowing the wines are organic and grown in a biodiverse environment made it even better.
Would highly recommend a visit.

We had the long lunch with wine pairing and it was absolutely superb. The chef is Scottish and the food was of a high quality. The outdoor seating area gives wonderful views over the vineyards towards the hills and it was a most relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Super friendly staff and great advocates for the Winery.

When booking line I called to confirm that I had a minor diet issue., and We were doing the wine paring with the set lunch. We had well and truly finished our wine after the first course took 45 mins to come to us, and this seemed to happen with each course, wine without food. There must have been major issues in the kitchen as we started to get impatient for our main course. We sat along with the other 18 diners that we counted that were not eating be fed. With set courses there really is not need for major delays as you are informed with numbers the day before, and is usually quite straight forward. From when we arrived it took 2 hrs and 20 mins to get the main. This is also where I became disappointed. I was told I was to get a vegetarian chickpea dish. What I then received was a combination of the first course and second course salad and accompaniments with three pieces of broccolini on top. Utterly disappointed . But everyone at the table did find it hilarious, that someone could be that lazy and think it was acceptable. I as I sat there quite sad after I had high expections. The waitress did apologise, and say she was very embarrassed. Really don't think I would go again sadly.

Outstanding. A long lunch set menu was absolutely beautiful. The flight of wines to go with it is an absolute steal. Kind and knowledgeable staff, accommodating a 5 year old brilliantly. As a bonus I took the oysters, freshest I can remember, and a glass of Riesling to start. Then a couple of first class bottles to take home. Great experience.

Visited on a cold overcast day which was brightened by the long lunch experience.
The menu and meal sizes perfect, wines even better!
Sara & Olivia were brilliant hosts, explaining all aspects of the wine and food combinations.
Will definitely be back.

We had a great tasting here (again) and brought another dozen for the cellar.
They aren't cheap but you certainly get what you pay for.
The host was friendly and knowledgeable.
We've been here several times (we are out-of-towners) and haven't had a bad experience yet.

Not to be missed but some will consider it expensive at $89 per head. The problem is that this is very good value considering you receive 5 glasses of high quality wines and a four course meal that matches any in the restaurants in Christchurch. If you wish to have an exceptional wine lunch, this is the place to visit. It has raised the standard over and above that of Pegasus Bay which does not serve food any more. Service was excellent. Spacing between Tables was good and the background noise was low. Grab a table with a view if you can. It is difficult to be negative about anything except my wife does not like sitting on those high bar stools. OK for a quick wine taste but not for a long lunch particularly since they had no arms. They cater for vegetarians. Well worth a visit if you prefer quality food and wines and are willing to pay the price. The establishment delivers what it promises.
