Wat een super leuke leerzame workshop! Niet alleen over het eten , ook over Griekenland en het eiland Zakynthos! Heel relaxed. Je merkt meteen dat Alex heel gepassioneerd is en dat brengt hij mooi over! Zijn moeder Mandy en zijn vrouw Taru (?) even vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dank jullie wel voor deze mooie ervaring! Een hele leuke, leerzame en gezellige kookworkshop in een familiaire setting. Daarnaast vertelt Alex ook veel over de geschiedenis van Zakhyntos en Griekenland en de oorsprong van producten. Echt een aanrader!

This was a great experience. We loved learning about cooking and the history of Greek Food. The setting was beautiful and the host was authentic and open to questions.

We had a great time! My boyfriend wanted to learn the art of making pita bread and they explained all the steps in detail. They were very friendly and full of passion about greek food, we learned so much in 1 morning!

Been going to Argassi for a few years but first time to the cooking class at The Green Frog.Best half day spent with team Alex.
Very informative about the greek food we were preparing. Nice to get a bit of background/ history about the island too.
The food was delicious and plentiful. It's held in the garden and it's beautiful setting. One thing i would say is, don't have your breakfast before you go.
Smoothly run class
Team Alex , you were all excellent. Would highly recommend the cooking class.Keep up the good work .

Fantastic, learnt a lot about Zakynthos cuisine and the islands history traditions. Alex and Mandy were fabulous hosts. Definitely recommend.
Due to bad weather being forecast the class was delivered in the bar. However, it’s normally held in their beautiful garden. This did not detract from the experience.
The recipe book followed as promised and we have been recreating some of the recipes at home.

A clear cooking course. Nice info about the history of Zakynthos and Greek food. Very well prepared. Nice build-up, everyone is involved in the cooking in tour turn. Very educational cozy morning with a fantastic lunch of homemade products. Highly recommended. And the restaurant, too.

This cooking class was the best experience so far during our holiday, beyond my expectations .
The ‘lieu’: the restaurant itself looked very neat and had this fresh natural interior design with beautiful lights hanging around, had a close view on the sea and also on the mountains. I would recommend it for any type of events. From family dinner to weddings.
The course: we had a nice course. It was not for professionals (which made it a perfect fit for me) We made everything from scratch, but since the measuring, baking, the cleaning…) was made for us we all absolved the course without any hardship. Also what made it a 5 star experience was the cultural and historical story telling. About the history and cultural of the island, and how these traditional foods are linked to them.
The family: they are very good at what they are doing. I’m a difficult person, as anyone can tell from my detail orientation even in a 4 hour long course, and yet here I am saying it was amazing. I don’t judge the food because I am not competent to do so, though i liked everything we created and tried.
But. They are very good at making this experience. They taught us without putting any kind of pressure on us. Created a harmonic environment where you feel like you belong.
Considering the different personality types, sewing personal details into the conversation, mentioning family memories, telling about how it is living there off season. At some point I have decided to seek for condos around here and seen myself be part of the community for ever to return to from the adventures of being a citizen of the world.
We met the dogs, the family. Since Alex traveled around the world he knew some things about almost all the countries we were from.
Their English is good (the family is bilingual) so no need to worry about that.
Like someone struggling with mindfulness a lot lately, hence the vacation, and I could be there the whole time, so thankful for that. I didn’t even check for condos when I thought about it :D it’s huge for me.
+extra: the difference cultural background of us, the students, encouraged to be shared, made the extra salt on the seminar.
++extra: I did hit them with a few surprising special requests- I won’t give any ideas and encourage that behavior - and they took it without any problem.
+++ we didn’t have any unfilled moments and yet never felt rushed.
Summary : Alex’s people skills are something you don’t see often, food is good, scenery is good, created and lead mood is perfect, and they created this you are part of a community, and are welcomed atmosphere making us feel belong. They put the effort in what they do. Feels like the perfectionism I can rate finally with 5 stars and with only positive feedback. ( it must be hard, so thank you, good job everyone ) I think I took much more than just a receipt - I know it’s sounds cheesy but they presented a kind of living what I seek for - making those changes feel possible to make.

A very inspiring workshop to get to know and make the real Greek cuisine. Between preparations, Alex gives animated information about Zante and about its history. Highly recommended to participate.
