Swetharanyeswarar temple which is located in thiruvenkadu near sirkazhi,in district mayiladuthurai.
The main god in this temple is lord shiva and it is significant for navagraha budhan,
in navagrahas lord budhan is called for education knowledge and intelligence and also lord budhan is rasi athibathi for mithunam zodiac sign.
so mithuna rasi people are once visit the temple in their lifetime and the perfect day to visit here is budhan, wednesday in english.
the temple has nearby bus transport facility, nice ambiance and peaceful appearance too.
temple has theertha kulam (holy water tank) ,people use it to refreshing their inner soul as sacred water cleans their body and soul a common belief

This temple is one among the Navagraha temples around KUMBAKONAM.
This temple is significant for the planet "Budhan".
A separate sannithi is there for Budhan planet..
Aghora Murthy sannithi is another significant sannithi of this temple..
People who suffer from nerve problem have to worship Budhan and Lord swetharanyeswarar to get good health and peace of mind.

This is the temple for Lord Shiva as the main deity. Lord Budhan is located in the outer premise of this huge temple complex. You can also see the Shiva Padam in this temple complex. You have Natraja Temple in this temple complex where the Temple Roof resembles the Chidambaram Temple.

It is a huge temple with is built in multiple storeys.. You can find Lord Shiva in human form and is quite mesmerising... The temple is well maintained and worth the visit..

Navagraha sthalam for budan. Nearly 18 kms from mayiladuthurai. The temple is very big and kept clean. The Lord Shiva is now as swetharanyeswarar. Must visit Navagraha temple.

This is another ancient Shiva Temple in this region. Lord Shiva did his first dance in the form of Nataraja in this temple and it is known as Adi Chidambaram. The temple has three ponds, three sacred trees and three forms of lord shiva and famous for Pithru Tharpana.

The temple is known for Swetharayaneswarar Siva incarnation . The Lord of intelligence and wisdom Buddhan is worshipped here . Apart from the Lingam ,there is a wonderful Natarajar statue inside the huge temple complex . There is Goddess Brahmavidya Devi temple inside .

We covered this temple as part of our trip to cover all Navagraha temples from Kumbakonam. This happens to be the fourth temple (after Suriyanarkoil, Kanjanur and Vaitheeswarankoil) out of the 9 lot, to reach from Kumbakonam, which lies at a distance of around 60 kms from Kumbakonam.
Lord Shiva resides here in the form of lingam with the name of Swetharanyeswarar and Lord Budhan (Mercury) is worshipped along with Goddess Vidya Ambal. One can offer prayers to them for good knowledge, academics, nervous disorders etc. Devotees can offer green cloth and green moong dal to God. One has to proceed towards outside the Shiva temple and in the right lies the Budhan temple opposite the Temple Tank. The ancient temple is covered with artistic sculptures.
Avoid the shops which invite you to leave footwear at their shop to induce you into buying puja items from them. You can safely leave your footwear outside the temple.
Car parking space is available at Rs. 20 and is convenient

Thiruvenkadu (Adhi Chidambaram) is in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the nine Navagraha temples in South India. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, famous as Venkaatunadar and Sri Swetaranyeswarar.
Here’s the significance of Thiruvenkadu Temple:
Lord Shiva possesses three eyes – Chandra, Surya and Agni. Since the eyes bless the tanks, the Theertham(tanks) are also famous as Soma Theertham ,Surya Theertham and Agni Theeertham. Bathing in these tanks and worshipping the Lord here for one “mandalam” (45 days) is also relieves couples from problems in relation with childbirth.
One of the three deities is Aghoramurthy or Aghora Veerabhadramurthy the most fierce among the five representations of Lord Shiva. There are also several shrines of significance including those to Ma Durga and Ma Kali. The saints Appar,Sundarar,Sambandhar and Manikavasagar have sung in praise of this temple.
Further, those who visit Thiruvengadu will find relief from puthira dosham, poor studies, mental instability, nervous disorders. Knowledge, music, astrology, maths, sculpting, medicine, language skills are the beneficial aspects of Budan.

Saint Meikkandaar, the first of the four “Santhana Kuravars” and the author of “Shivagnanabodham” is believed to have been born by the grace of Sri Swetharanyeswarar of this temple. Meikkandaar’s birth name was Swethavanaperumal. There is a shrine for the saint on the banks of the Agni Theertham here.

Nearest airport is Thiruchirapalli Airport which is about 160 km from this place. Thiruchirapalli and Sirkazhi are well connected through state buses. You can approach your hotel staff in Thiruchirapalli to help book a cab to and fro this temple. With Thiruchirapalli as the base, you can consider covering several fascinating temples like Srirangam and enroute Sirkazhi, you can consider covering Chidambaram temple...

You can do Archana and Abhishekam for all the three deities - Shiva, Parvathy and Budhan. Do an Annadanam. Take a dip in all the three ponds. These are generic remedies. I would suggest you meet a "nadi" astrologer and try to find your horoscope manuscript written by the saint Agasthya. If you get that, you will get the exact remedies you need to do.
