Hi there is no mini zoo , it’s a lovely place to visit , strolling along the edge of the hill overlooking the tropical forest with some arts paintings along the way , tropical plants and flowers to admire , Curtis crest treetop walk , have a relaxing swing and there’s a free buggy ride at the end of your visit .

The most obvious tip = avoid weekends and public / school holidays. Then, try to get up as early as you can. The first train (if you choose not to hike) is at 8.30am, so try to get that one, or at least try to arrive before 10am at the latest. HUGE TIP: Despite the price, pay for a Fast Lane ticket. The queues are crazy. It's not unheard of for normal ticket holders to queue for 1.5 hours at peak times.

If it rains, borrow an umbrella from the ticket office (they have plenty.) I went in heavy rain. It's quite an experience. But you can also head to the end of the trail and wait at the cafe for the rain to lessen. BUT: The rules are, you CANNOT take an umbrella up to Curtis Crest - be warned,

You can take flight, train, bus, or car to Penang Island. I would suggest you check in to any hotel in Penang first, then, take any ground transportation to Penang Hill. There you can buy The Penang Hill Train (Penang Hill Funicular Railway) ticket to the top of Penang Hill. Habitat is at the top of hill.
