Beautiful location and campsite. We were there in mid-September so only a handful of campers were visiting but I can see that it would be a great destination for a family trip in the summer. I asked the park attendant which beach was okay for our two dogs and he said anywhere but the day use picnic area. Our dogs had a wonderful time swimming in the crystal clear water and no funky swamp odour in the trailer afterwards LOL. Cell service is unavailable in the park, which wasn't an issue for us, but could be for some people.

Stayed two nights. Fabulous campsite on the lake. Would love to stay there again. Bear in the area, but we didn't run into him.

We camped here for May Long weekend with our young kids and we all had a great time.
The park is fantastic as it has swings, sandbox, spinning toy and large climb station with slides etc. There's a grassy picnic area next to the boat launch that has picnic tables and fire pits.
Trails throughout the campsite, water pump, (no water taps for RV) outhouses, and beautiful lake. This campground is also pet friendly but dogs must be on leashes. Firewood is sold by staff who do their rounds on a golf cart.
Each campsite is decently private with a picnic table and fire pit and gravel ground. You can't reserve any sites and there is no power or water hookups for rv's. All sites are decent sizes.

We stayed here over the long weekend with our three kids (7, 2, and 1) and were very happy with the state of the campsites and facilities. Everything was very clean and upkept. The playground was awesome to have for the littles when they got bored and the lake had a nice grassy area by the water for them to play on. We never got a chance to fish but there was lots of people who were. Apparently it is stocked with all sorts. Over all it was definitely one of the nicer/cleaner campsites we have been too!

I have been staying at this park for the past 6 years and have loved it up until this past weekend. I was treated with disrespect from one of the ladies working there and was very unimpressed by how little the park attendants were actually there to help. My husband has sleep apnea and has to sleep with a machine every night so we bought a very quiet generator for this reason (we need to have power during the night). I looked it up on BC Parks website and it said for medical reasons the use of generators can be permitted so we went thinking that like the past 6 years we wouldn't have any trouble but we get out there to be told that there are absolutely no exceptions. Meanwhile I have the regulations from the website printed out and a note from the doctor saying that he has to use it but they still refused. The lady even went so far as to say well we are not set up for it so if you don't like it you don't have to be here and can go somewhere else, I was shocked. I called her boss and he was no more helpful, told me I have to go through the BC Parks office to get permission, its May long weekend, nothing is open. We did stay and used an inverter which only last half the night so we would have to power up our truck to keep the battery charged and then we got crap for that because of a no idle policy. I spoke to about 5 other couples staying at the park who said they would never go back because they felt like they were in a prison. It's really too bad because I love this park but they have ruined it by being extremely strict with the awful policies they have.

This is a lovely park with both public beach access and campsites right on the water. The public beach has maintained lawn, whereas the campsites have natural pebble gravel beach. The campground is always clean and the outhouses do not smell. There are generally sites available, even on long weekends, although this is changing. The lake is clean, although cold, and good for swimming and boating. I've been told that many people get skunked if they're fishing, and recommend Moose Lake instead. The campground does not have hookups, but the sites have nice room and privacy with natural forest between sites. Picnic tables and fire pits are located at the public beach.

Just got back from a weekend camping here for the first time. It is after the labor day long weekend so we shared the whole campground with one other couple. Super quiet. They have a generater policy to keep noise down that was nice to read about. There is a boat launch and some trails to walk around the campsite and down by the beach area. The water was warmer than I thought it would be for this time of year. We bought firewood for $20 for a row on the back of a pick up or a wheel barrow full. Out houses only no showers. The camp host and operaters were both super friendly. We stayed in campsite 24 overlooking the lake and only steps from the beach. What a great place to have your morning coffee. The viewpoint is worth stopping at a bit too far to walk though from the campsite. There are lots of sites you can see the lake from. Don't forget peanuts for the squirrels.
