Our host, Ariti, welcomed us with a big smile and immediately made us feel like a friend. Throughout the entire tour, she gave us background on the culture and history of Corfu, while incorporating explanation of how that impacted the cuisine. We had a seemingly endless supply of tastings, including delicious pastries, liquors, candied kumquats, ginger beer, olive oil, cheese, cold cuts and ended with a relaxing and delicious lunch which included local wines. We loved that every establishment was local owned and patronize by local residents. Ariti was incredibly accommodating with my food restrictions, and was the consummate host, always making sure that everyone was comfortable and had enough wine and food. It was a fantastic introduction to Corfu, and I cannot recommend it more highly!
