After seeing this cafe in the film 'Keeping Mum' i have always wanted to come along and sit by the wonderful view and enjoy some food! So, today we came along for breakfast, which was wonderful quality and we really enjoyed. The views were stunning and we were lucky enough to see lots of seals and other wildlife here. Before leaving we had to buy some cake for later in the day, which was also delicious. Recommended to anyone.

Decided to go for a drive after The Queens funeral knowing that not much would be open; having stopped at Niabyl Bay and Port Erin and heading towards Castletown I spotted this on the map and decided to drive down for a lookat the views of Calf’s Head, I was surprised to find a biggish car park and more importantly something opened serving food and with loos. Luckily we’d got there 5 mins before closing at 4pm (earlier than normal ) so got to have tea and cake inside though they did serve takeaway tea and cake which you could sit outside to drink. £11 for 2 teas a scone and a slice of tiffin, pricey but it seems everywhere on the Island is pricey at the moment. Anyway it was nice and the views across the Sound were lovely, we even got to see and hear Grey Seals and numerous birds, a few nice walks from there and a good few seats..a nice find .

Lovely place to visit and sit and admire the views. Loads of birds and wildlife to see. Managed to see few seals playing in the bay can get bit blustery at times . Well worth a visit

Questo centro visitatori si trova all'estremità sudoccidentale dell'isola di Man. Dalle vetrate del centro si gode di una vista spettacolare su un'isola che c'è di fronte e sul braccio di mare che la separa da Man, dove si incontrano due correnti marine contrapposte. All'interno del centro c'è un bar che serve pasti caldi e dolci anche vegani.

Lovely trip to the sound and views to sit and admire all day. Restaurant can get busy and seating at times can be limited but in good weather loads of outside space to enjoy and benches plentiful. Looking across the sound seals play on the rocks and come close enough to visitors to get your photographs. Wild cliffs, hidden caves and huge vistas really spoil the eye here. A must visit for all who visit the island.

5* and "amazing" is for the area, the sound itself and the spectacular scenery.
The Visitor Centre, as has been mention ... isn't.
As a cafe it serves reasonably priced fayre, especially considering it is a tourist trap and compared to other tea shops on the island who know how to charge the tourist £.
Binoculars available to borrow, so maybe that's the "Visitor Centre" bit.
Don't eat outside ... seagulls.

The guidebooks say these are the best views on the Isle of Man. That's a pretty high bar to set but at least one of us agreed 100%. The sea, the Calf of Man, rocks, cliffs - the whole package. Also seals but at quite a distance.

The cafe has great views and for a tourist attraction the prices for food were reasonable. We had two hot chocolates with cream and marsh mallows and it was £7.00. There are lovely coastal walks around here and you can even see seals. When we went it was pouring with rain and we did manage to see seals and the cafe was very busy.

Agree we didn't bother with the visitor centre but just took in the amazing views of calf of Man wild rocks and sea and if you lucky you can see the seals bobbing about

In the summer months this is a must part of the Island to visit. You’ll ideally need a car to get there as the road is narrow and windy to get to, however you’ll be blown away by the views. If you go in the winter months, you will certainly be blown away! A very exposed part of the Island on the extreme South, boat trips can be made to the Calf of Man. Pelicans can be seen if you’re lucky and on our trip to the Sound, numerous seals could be spotted. There is adequate free parking available and the Visitor Centre offers snacks drinks and toilets. A truly stunning and my personal favourite place on the Island
