This course is way down the list when it comes to condition, with rough fairways and just ok greens but the layout is one of the most interesting and challenging courses in the costa, if you are prepared for the condition and can see beyond that, you will have a great experience. if they could raise the condition of this course to the standard of others in the area it would rank in the top 5 but it would take a lot of money and effort to achieve this

The course just went up and down o all shots on guilds so you never knew where the ball was because most of the holes were hidden. Hit away6 balls that should have been on the fairway. The greens were ok o very fast

Enjoyed playing this course, though found it difficult for my handicap. Very testing holes, fantastic views, course in pretty good condition, good bar very cheap.

Aluhrin was the first of 3 golf courses we played week beginning 14th October and what a shambles on arrival was told tee time was 10 minutes later than booked then told 56 argentine golfers were out before us eventually got on the 1st tee at 10 50 so 50 minutes late it took 3 hours 40 minutes to play front nine and only managed to play 5 holes on back nine due to having transfer back to resort picking us up at 4 30 spoke to the manager on way out just shrugged his shoulders and um and ard never apologised so all in all just sheer greed by this golf club even their own members who had a afternoon tee time couldn’t go out due to no buggies being available don’t think I’ll be going back here

Recommend you keep your golf bags in view at all times. Visited with a party of 12 recently and several had cash stolen from wallets. We were advised Marshalls would be patrolling the course to ensure buggies kept on paths. By doing so there are areas on the course where you can’t see the buggies or golf bags. We didn’t see a Marshall all day so thieves free to steal at will. Bad end to a good day.

Give this place a miss. Four of our party were robbed of our money whilst on the course. Carts are to be left on the tracks around the course in places such as the greens. Whilst we were away from the cart on one of the holes, someone went through our bags and took all the cash out of the wallets. There were supposed to be Marshall’s on the course but we didn’t see one all day. The course has beautiful views however the course condition at our time of playing could have been better

We were a socirty of just 16, played on 28/9/2024. Firstly the course, this is the second time of playing, after first experience from several years ago we said never again! But we went! The course was very well presented, some wild boar damage but generally in VG condition...greens were true and well kept. Quite a few blind shots which resulted in a few lost balls..maybe they could grow the grass a little longer on the edges of the fairways. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, the views are the best you'll find in Andalucia. Shop/office, staffed by pleasant people who were very helpful, although they don't have actual course planners..unusual. Restaurant...we were early so not too many people about, again, staff helpful and pleasant, however, when we came back the place was jammed packed, they would only serve alcohol as coffee took too long to make, shame really. The one big thing that let them down was the attitude of the guy who sorted out the buggies. When we finished the round we were almost pulled out of the buggies as there were loads of other players waiting! Now I'm 78 yrs old and with a heavy bag with a broken strap, I asked could I drop my bag at the car park and come straight back, guy was quite aggresive and wouldn't allow it, I asked if he would take me up...no chance, they were pulling our bags off the buggy. Now it's quite an uphill walk to the car park and colleague offered to carry it for me, I struggled. Went to the office after and they were nice but what could they do..not even an offer to speak to said guy. Bottom line was that they did not have enough buggies and they looked to be well overbooked, so a greed problem I think. I nearly gave this a 2 star rating as it spoiled the day, in reality, apart from this incident I would have given it 4 stars. Civility costs nothing, the Club are to blame as they train everyone up. I would still recommend a visit here, but check out how busy they are going to be.

....but bang average due to 'ok' greens and fairways.
'They' say you judge any golf club by it's greens and if there is any truth in this, then Alhaurin whilst set in outrageously undulating countryside with spectacular views from many of the tees, can only be described as very average.
Many of the fairways were soaked to the point of being 'muddy' and at least 4 of the greens were pretty appalling.
That said the food and service at the clubhouse were excellent and maybe I'm being just a little fussy but having played in Portugal last year this one just falls a little short.

For coeliacs / people who have any kind of food allergy this is NOT your place!!! The nefarious experience. We went to a wedding we'd been invited to and the bride was told they were going to put a separate menu on me because I'm coeliac. What was my surprise that they did NOT, from the cocktail I could only eat 2 things that I thought were gluten-free and knowing that it would contaminate me. Worst of all is not that, the worst of all is that they had no idea about things like that the salmon tree carries bread and a celiac can not eat it, or that if a batter even with cornmeal is fried in the same fryer as the croquettes, it becomes contaminated and can no longer be eaten!! I don't understand how a restaurant like that can be responsible for organizing events, I felt very discriminated against. I think that people who are dedicated to hospitality (and more to events) should have a minimum of knowledge about food. I certainly won't be back. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I have already arranged for the group of coeliacs in Malaga to learn of this experience, I do not think any more will pass through after the treatment received.

Pros: Very nice land and fun to play! Young Englishman at the proshop very nice and polite!
Negative side! The cart attendant is very indifferent and not very helpful when asked questions seems to disturb him. Service at the club house bar leaves to desired the bartender is not smiling in any way and again we make sure we disturb him

Golf side nothing to say spectacular views and an A1 course should better indicate holes on the course

Does the course offer club rental?
I assume it does; but havent seen much on the website.
If so I assume you have to contact them directly; not onine?
