Based on several of these reviews, we attempted to arrange a brewery tour. We tried via both WeChat and phone call at two different times and were told they are a production company and not a tourist destination. Perhaps others have had better luck?
We were able to sample many of their beer offerings at local places around town, and I would definitely recommend their brews.

We loved hearing about how they support their community including orphans and farmers. The tour was great and it was very cool hearing about how they started and how they have grown since then. We got to sample 9 fantastic beers and 4 gins at the end. Very generous portions and 60 RMB per person!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and she herself was an orphan turned brewery worker. She walked us through the hall and explained many of the pictures in there. We got to check out the brewery itself from a catwalk and she explained all the equipment, processes and artwork.
Getting a tour is tricky. You have to call in advance now so check out their website to find the number to book a brewery tour.
Getting there was tricky as we couldn't enter the correct address in Didi in English or Chinese. When we asked the brewery they said that going to the Qingkou Industrial Area was ok and to tell the driver to go to the brewery. Our driver seemed very confident he knew where he was going but got a little lost and had to speak to the brewery to figure it out. We believe that if you enter "Guidi Guzangman Tribes" in Didi that should work.

Amoureux de craft beers, quel bonheur de visiter cette brasserie riche d'histoires et de valeurs. Visite de la chaîne de production, explications et dégustation de toutes les (excellentes) bières de la brasserie, le tout avec des personnes d'une très grande gentillesse. Que demander de plus!

We showed up without booking a tour on their first day open after the Chinese New Year. I would recommend calling in advance to book a tour to make sure you get an English guide, but we got lucky and had a spur of the moment tour and tasting. The story of how it was founded was very interesting and they had a surprising variety of beer options. We were very impressed and they were gracious hosts. Highly recommend coming to this if you’re in Shangri-La!

Wir haben auf unserer China-Rundreise zufällig das Shangri-La Bier kennengelernt und uns spontan dazu entschlossen, die Brauerei zu besuchen. Wir haben uns angekündigt und hatten wirklich einen tollen Nachmittag. Wir haben zuerst alle Craft-Biere probiert und dann noch alle Standardsorten. Wir hatten wirklich viel Spaß und eine tolle Unterhaltung in deutscher Sprache. Wenn ihr mal auch nach Bayern exportiert, dann lasst es uns wissen :-)

We went with my boyfriend and my father in-law. We arrived an hour before the place closed and managed to do the tour with one of the ladies working there and then tasting with Pong. We were in a hurry to catch a train but Pong was a great help and a good laugh! We absolutely enjoyed it and also the price was absolutely affordable! The tour and the tasting costs 60 per person and we tried the special edition beers and all the 7 beers that are currently available to the public. I got to taste beers I did not know and liked so much more!

We arranged a taxi to take us for 40RMB as the brewery is located a bit outside of town and there is no public transport to take you there. We arrived without a booking as we didn't know we had to do one (please email them in advance) and they were kind enough to give us a tour. We absolutely loved the information provided and the mission of the brewery. It was so nice to see how passionate the team is about what they do and their impact in the community. They source directly from the area and provide job opportunities to the kids in the orphanage. I think their social business model is outstanding and the tour provides you so much information about the culture, the beer, and the brewery's mission. The beers are very high quality and the taste is amazing, I can not recommend this experience enough. I hope more people add the brewery tour to their visit in Shangri-La.

Well worth a visit! They ran us through a full tour as well as sampling of all beers. I highly recommend this place. Founded in 2008/09, they have reached the critical mass to move beyond microbrew to well established brewery with distribution to other cities in Yunnan, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xinjiang province, Qinghai Province etc. Their new facility, built in 2014, is beautiful, but a little hard to find south of the city. TripAdvisor has the correct location.
We took a Didi there at about 3pm, and stayed until they closed (5pm). Staff were super friendly, able to speak English, and had English-translated materials to show us.
Warning: Didi didn’t offer rides away from there, so arrange your ride home before arriving. We negotiated with our guest-house to pick us up.
This was a great way to fill a rainy afternoon in Shangri-La.

We visited after giving them a call a few days before to confirm. We were accompanied by a very nice woman (deputy CEO if I understood correctly), who spoke great English and gave us the tour of the factory, with interesting facts and anecdotes along the way. This was followed by a great beer tasting (maybe try to do the tour in the afternoon if you want to fully enjoy the 7 beers they have !) They offered us free lunch after that with the workers, but we had to decline to take a bus. Still they drove us back to the old town rather than let us book a taxi. We also had the opportunity to chat quickly with the CEO, a very nice and interesting man.
Practical matters, the visit is 30min - 1h, plus the beer tasting. All in all it costs 60 yuan pp.
In conclusion, one of the highlights of our stay in Shangri-La, definitely not touristy yet, to learn a great story and discover great beers.
