Christoph and Sarissa were outstanding drivers and tour guides throughout our stay in the Dordogne Valley. The Mercedes vans were comfortable and clean and they drove them safely and confidently.
This couple is "personality plus", accommodating, interesting and very helpful. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their insight in showing us the best of what the area had to offer. We were very fortunate to tour the Font de Gaume cave in Les Eyzies. It was a highlight of my trip and was made possible because Sarissa had secured the limited tickets for our group in advance.
I highly recommend their services and look forward to when I can meet them in Spain for another fantastic experience. Thank you Christoph & Sarissa!!

Taxi A La Carte Services Are Super

I worked with Taxi A La Carte for a 3 rd year to drive my art group of 14 people all over the Dordogne and Lot areas of France for two weeks. They now offer trip planning, hotel recommendations and guiding in addition to their superb driving in 2 immaculate Mercedes vans.
Christoph and Sarissa Kuster the owner/drivers/planner/guides are great to work with. They suggest locations to visit that are off the beaten path as well as regional landmarks. They offer a wealth of knowledge about the area and are warm, friendly, cheerful and very helpful. Sarissa who does the guided tours is extremely knowledgable and makes the history of the region come alive. Their planning skills helped me and my friends to appreciate the history of this region and all it contains, from cave paintings to castles, fabulous restaurants, troglodyte settlements, walnut cake, forests, beautiful villages and more.

Exploring Sarlat region

We had an amazing 2 days exploring the area around Sarlat. Christophe was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and creative. Also, he was an excellent driver. He took us to places we wouldn't have seen on a regular tour - many hidden gems. We got a real feel for the region. Can't say enough about him and the whole experience. Thank you, Christophe!

Best guides and drivers in Bordeaux and Dordogne region!!!

Sarissa and Christoph gave our group a most beautiful experience in Bordeaux and the Dordogne region. They are extremely competent, knowledgeable and caring guides and drivers. They make you feel like family. I would travel again with them in heartbeat ❤️

Wow! what an experience...5 days in the Dordogne with Christoph & Sarissa

After a wonderful tour last year with Christoph driving me and 4 other friends to Chateaux and
Caves in the Dordogne...3 of us decided we want to share the experience with more friends.
So this year, on October 5, Christoph and his lovely wife, Sarissa, picked up 11 of us in Bordeaux and drove us to Sarlat where we stayed....for 5 days of touring the Dordogne.

Many of us have read the Martin Walker books, so were thrilled to visit many locations mentioned where Bruno hangs out ....Château Tiregand for wine, a foie gras farm, market day in Le Bugue (St. Denis), etc. We also visited other important Châteaux and the famous caves including Lascaux and Font de Gaume which only allows 80 visitors a day and has original cave drawings. I requested this and Christoph managed to get us tickets. We were lucky.

Keeping 11 different personalities in tow, happy and on time is sometimes a challenge. They managed us beautifully.

Christoph was raised and now lives in the area so had many personal details and
“gems” to relate. Sarissa is very engaging. Her presentation of Château Beynac was dramatic and interesting. All along the way they filled us in on the history of the places we were visiting. Together they make a special team.

If you are thinking of traveling to this area....you will have the best experience with Taxi & Touring alaCarte. ...beautiful comfortable vans, lively, informed, personable drivers and the voyage of a lifetime.

Terrific tour experience

Christoph and Sarissa were outstanding guides - informative, insightful, funny and punctual. They know the Dorgogne and Bordeaux areas intimately and were able to manage our party of 11 travelers for 5 days with grace and flexibility. We heartily recommend them and would sign up with them for more touring in the future!

Fascinating trip through the Dordogne

Christoph and Sarissa were so knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area
They were friendly and interested in us as a group. I loved that Christoph took pictures of us and sent a daily short video of our day. I highly recommend them as your guides

Tour the Dordogne Valley with Locals

It was fun, meaningful and extra interesting to tour the Dordogne Valley with Cristophe who grew up in one of the small towns, still knew many of his former neighbors, and, because of his personal relationships, could get us into a prehistoric cave (with 17,000 year old cave drawings) that allows only limited visitors per day. Christophe has an engaging personality, and knew everything about the area. Kudos also to his wife, Sarissa, originally a Dutch native who displayed expert knowledge about such topics as wine and the history of Beynac et Cazenac Castle which is practically in their backyard. Together, they made quite a well balanced guide team with an interesting and varied itinerary for 4--1/2 days for our group of 11. Highly recommend Alacarte Taxi and Touring.

Best guide ever!

This is the second time in 2 years that I have visited the Dorgdone area with Christoph. I cannot imagine touring with anyone else. He is always on time, patient, so knowledgeable and accommodating. He managed to get the tickets for everything we wanted to see, and some have limited availability. And there is always a smile on his face! The first time I visited this area was in May 2022 with five other friends. This time there were 11 of us so we were split into two groups. Christoph 's wife Sarissa drove the second van and they make a fun team. If you plan to visit the Lascaux caves, and the Dorgdone, I would book early to get a time in his very busy schedule.
