Too much money for so less... Guide was obligate but completely unnecessary. The island was niet, the animals a shamble... my advice: don´t go!

You take a boat near Bismarck Rock in Mwanza.
It is a nice cruise to the Island seeing local settlements on the sharp sides of the Lake, fishermen etc.
You alse see different birds - often catching fish.
On the Island we hired a guide who was very good at telling us the history of the Island and its wild life.
We saw amongst others zebras, antilopes, monkeys, lions (in a care) reptiles, snakes, many birds etc.
The nature of the Island is beautiful (you can take some wonderful pictures).
There is a restaurant on the Island and it serves mainly fish.
It is a nice way to spend half a day!!

My friends enjoyed a lot being there, the hiking was superb, the guide Mr Bariki was marvelous, the Presin received us by the Name Said who is on of the Staff is a very welcoming person, we had good time with owesome group "Smart Mamas" was owesome to join the hiking and the fun , lunch, the jumping rock, and boat driving was very fabulous , I advice to visit the place, Karibu Tanzania, Karibu saa Nane National Park, a very unique National Park

My client enjoyed alot and they told me what they experienced when they reached their places it was fun having them around the natural environment found beneath the heart of the city of Meanza

The Island has amazing attractions and you can get an amazing view of Lake Victoria from all angles. This place is the home of many monkeys, antelope and zebra.

Visiting the Island was the most amazing experience. This is a nice place you should visit to see the culture of the Sukuma people. The pace is beautiful and it gives you value for your money. It is a suitable place for all ages.

A nice gem hidden in the city of mwanza. Did the tour with Tanzania solely tours . The views are enchanting and the animals really exciting to watch . Saw a lot and really enjoyed the whole arrangement

This is the smallest national park in Tanzania. So, this is a good activity for half a day. The island is off the coast of Mwanza, a 10-minute boat ride or less. The great charm of the place is the beautiful landscape of the island (Mwanza stones) and the fact that you can go on a walking safari. Zebras are very tame, impalas are also not to be supervised, and many birds (including osprey), lizards, and crocodiles. If you ask the people who take you on the boat, they might make a little detour to show you a crocodile lying on the rocks. If you come to Mwanza, I think it's a must as it's easy to visit and a very nice tour.

A unique spot to be while in Mwanza. It was established as a national park in 2013. The island is situated in Lake Victoria lying very close to the city of Mwanza. The wildlife there includes zebra, impala, wildebeest, vervet monkeys, dik-dik, otters, and crocodiles, and is a mixture of indigenous and introduced species. It is the best place to escape the commotion of the city.

We visited the island in April 2022. We had a very knowledgable tour guide who briefed us adequately prior to embarking on the trip. The entry fee and boat hire is reasonable. It takes about 5-7 minutes to reach the island. Animals present included 1 lion, 1 lioness, 2 cubs, 3 Zebras , Wilder-beasts , several Gazelles, Tortoise, Peacocks/hens, monkeys
We were informed crocodiles and snakes are also presents. Wildlife population is very small. The island is ideal for hiking , picnicking and watching over the beautiful Lake Victoria. Walking paths are well done. You need about 3 -4 hours with short breaks in between to trek whole island. The boat ride is very enjoyable with beautiful scenes.
There are lots of work going on to build camping sites and encourage longer stay in the island.

Being part of government run reserves/parks, then you pay an entrance fee at the gate that includes a boat and an allocated guide...they take you to the island and give you a number to call once done and the boat comes to pick you up from the island.
