This is as easy as it gets for plentiful wildlife spotting.

From the car park you are straight into the action on a flat path walking past seal upon seal lounging about.

One of the two car parks were closed so folks were parking up the approach road, but still it wasn't far. Signs directed you on the approach road.

The downsides? Well, I've seen seals before without crowds, fences and in much more scenic locations than this. So this is far from my favourite seal experience but its a reliable, easy way of getting close to seals.

Fantastic experience that took almost no planning.

November and December only, really, when seals are breeding at the beach. On 17 December there were over 1000 pups on the beach. We went on 28 December and the number had gone down to about 40.

Still, brilliant experience to see animals in their natural environment.

Came here today with my wife and kids mainly out of my selfish need to take some nice photographs of the pups, but none of us were disappointed.

Hundreds of bulls, cows and pups were sprawled out along the beach with many, many pups alongside the fence so we all got really close and intimate encounters with the seals.

Along the walk there’s a shipping container with posters/information which was interesting and there’s Wildlife Trust workers and volunteers to answer any questions.

It was £5 to park in the main car park, but literally at the side, adjacent to the main car park there’s a free car park for the tight folk amongst us. There’s plenty of portaloos down the end of the car park which we’re very clean too.

For something that’s free, it’s very worthwhile taking a trip here and much better seeing these creatures in their natural environment than in a sanctuary. I’d also like to add it’s not wheelchair friendly but if you’re able to walk up around 15 gradual steps, you’ll get to a very flat walk on the beach front which is manageable for people who require assistance to walk.

1st time at Donna Nook and have to say was not disappointed, even if the weather was cold and rainy, nice to be able to be so close to the seals without causing them distress, parking is ample, though getting quite muddy now weather is turning,
also there were veg stands in car park for getting fresh veg for Christmas!
lovely day out.

This was our first visit which we loved seeing the seals and listening to the calls and sounds they made
one thing that let’s it down is the poor signage on getting to the location, as it easy missed

What a lovely place to visit on the coastline.
We walked here which is a bit of a trek of the beaten track with many cars passing we were constantly on a Verge.
It is easy passable in campers etc even though we had been advised against it.
£5.50 to park all day, toilets and somewhere to get a burger..
Was amazing to see the seals and their pups in their natural environment. It was really busy as it was a Sunday we visited.
Amazing to watch and if you get the chance, do go.

This was our first visit, absolutely loved seeing the seals and talking with the very helpful and informative volunteers.

The only thing that’s let’s it down is the poor signage. We got told off for driving out the wrong way but upon leaving the disabled car park you’re faced with two options either go back the way you came (but there’s now a temporary no entry sign up) or turn left into the main visitor car park? A sign that actually reads “exit” or “one way” would make more sense.

A very confusing drive in with poor signage saying the approach road was closed. It wasn’t and nor was the main car park. Another visitor said it had been like that for weeks, which does make you wonder why at the height of summer.

There was a very informative board at the main site but nothing at all at the ‘overflow car park’ except a couple of portaloos and some waste bins. Not good.

During the week you can’t actually go out onto the sands so we saw no seals and about 5 birds in total. We did have a lovely walk all the way back to the main area then up past the RAF station. The bonus was seeing a fighter jet looping and screaming around overhead.

The main thing of interest was the beach and the experience wasn’t enhanced by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust at all, in fact quite the opposite.

Would have loved to have seen some military action on the beaches. Disabled parking available but not really suitable access for a mobility scooter onto the beach area as a mix of gravel and sand. Couldn’t really do any walking on the nature reserve due to disability.

If you want to see seals out in the wild then this is the place for you, just make sure you wrap up very warm because the winds out there are bitter. There's parking available and it's a great and educational experience for all!
