Cari enogastronauti,
Si visitano le cantine per acquisire un’esperienza, una passione, una tecnica di un produttore vignaiolo appassionato.
Qui la zona di produzione è desolata, macchinari spenti e ci sta, siamo ad agosto.
Il negozio e’ gestito solo da una ragazzina piena di volontà ma non preparata per guidare tour tecnici.
Il giro in cantina 5€ cad.
Quello che abbiamo fatto è proprio un giro, una camminata tra i silos in acciaio e poi tra le botti senza saper rispondere a nessun quesito enologico.
Durata 10 minuti di passeggio.
Un costo spropositato perché si va per cantine per sbirciare e capire la fatica e per ricevere racconti di vita in vigna e poi anche per assaggiare.
Ecco, se vuoi come dicono loro degustare, devi dargli 30€.
Se vuoi solo assaggiare 1 vino devi scucire 3€.
Ho provato infine a capire, con la stessa ragazza, come è organizzato il negozio per poter comprare.
All’ingresso ci sono i vini della linea sensi. Come mai si chiama così? Perché è un top di gamma!
Quali caratteristiche hanno?

Costo 20€ a bottiglia
Nella seconda stanza ci sono invece i vini linea basalto costo 8€.
Alla domandi su che differenza c’è con quelli della prima stanza ci viene risposto che qualche differenza ci sarà di sicuro per costare tanto di meno.
Seconda domanda, si può assaggiare basalto?
No.
Solo sensi.
Metodo classico? Non è in assaggio perché se lo apriamo e non consumiamo si rovina.
Che differenze ci sono tra i due tipi esposti?
Tutte domande senza risposta.
Quindi caro proprietario della cantina.
Avrai pur guadagnato 5x2 =10€ ma hai dimostrato che non ti prendi cura del singolo cliente che ama il vino come te.
Magari da catanese sei un appassionato, ma solo del business.

Da me confusa come produttrice di un'etichetta di una bottiglia di rosato gustata qualche giorno prima al tavolo di un ristorante locale, decidiamo una sosta presso questa cantina al fine di acquistare qualche bottiglia. Resomi conto dell'errore solo dopo essere entrato, non avendo tempo a sufficienza per abbandonare la visita, ed essendo in compagnia di alcuni ospiti che non conoscevano il vino prodotto, optiamo per tre degustazioni dal prezzo spropositato (10 € cadauna) in rapporto alla quantità effettivamente somministrata e, soprattutto, in virtù di cinque bottiglie acquistate per un importo di 70 € circa.

I really enjoyed taking the tour, tasting and lunch athe Patria Winery. First off though, it is tough to find and GPS will get you lost a few times.
When you arrive there is plenty of parking and the tasting room is beautifully set up. The wines are pretty good for the region and they are very fair in the tasting. I think they do this so you buy more wine.
The tour is excellent and I liked the process of fermentation and the use of steel and oak barreling to build up the complexity of the wine. Their red wines are quite good and their non-alcoholic wine, which is a sweet wine I highly recommend with Asian food.
The tour through the cellar was interesting and you can tell that the new owner put a lot of money into the grounds for special events and weddings. The lunch on the lawn at the end of the tour was wonderful especially on a warm sunny day. It was quite the experience. They give you a lot of food with your tasting and everything was excellent. The chef kept peaking out to see the guests reactions to the lunch. I loved the sausage and the fresh cannoli at the end.
Then they take you back to the wine room and try to close the deal. One person in our party bought six bottles so they were happy. The prices are half of what they would be in the States so it is not a rip off like some wineries are and they will ship to the states for you.
The tour is well worth the time and if you like the whole wine tour experience, it is worth the money especially on a nice day. On a gloomy rainy day, I'm not sure. It is a great day out!

Guter Wein. Sehr empfehlenswerter Prosecco. Degustation war gut. Feine Appetizer dazu als Pranzo. Grosser Weinkeller. Sehr gut von Gruppen besucht.

For those of you that have been on previous tours of a traditional large volume winery, the tour of the facilities will probably not be that exciting. Actually, it was a bit scary for me being on the higher level with the heavy barrels on wooden flooring, flooring that looked like it was constructed with very old wood. The wines were excellent and very reasonably priced. Leave ample room in your suitcase to take some bottles home! Our wine tasting was included as part of a two winery tour with Etna People, and our lunch was provided at the second winery, however, we were provided with an ample assortment of appetizers here to eat alongside the wine. One regret, I wish that we had come during a time of the year to observe the bottling process. Considering the volume of wine produced here, that must be quite a site!

Then Patria Winery Tour was excellent - and I highly recommend it. The food provided with the wine tasting was very impressive and went quite well with the broad selection of wines that Patria produces. Clearly, the family of winemakers here are very dedicated to their craft!

26 Tage Sizilien mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs haben wir viel gesehen und viele Weine verkostet.
Einen echten Flopp war der Besuch bei PATRIA.
Da muss man nicht anhalten bzw. bitte nur einen Photostopp machen vom Anfitheatro Palaci. Das Amphitheater ist bewachsen mit Weinreben und liegt direkt im Anwesen u wird für Events u Hochzeiten genutzt mit schönem Panorama.
Der alte typisch bemalte Handkarren ist auch ein Photomotiv.
Das Weingut mit dem grossen Parkplatz lebt wohl davon Reisegruppen abzufüllen oder Hochzeitsgesellschaften abzuzocken.
Der Wein ist nun wirklich nichts besonderes u da hilft auch der neu gestaltete Verkaufsshop nicht. Der Mitarbeiter hat uns demotiviert empfangen u uns um 16:00bei unserer Ankunft gleich recht barsch mitgeteilt, dass sie um 17:00 schliessen.
Den einzigen Rotwein, den er uns anbot u verkosten liess war der „Hauswein“ Etna Rosso 2012, der ausserordentlich sei! Das Lager muss wohl mit dem Jahrgang 2012 Weinen übervoll sein, denn dieser Wein ist der Preis nicht wert. Nur auf Nachfrage konnten wir 2 weitere Weine verkosten.
Der Verkaufsshop macht was her und ist aufwendig dekoriert und gut beleuchtet. Die „Zapfanlage“ für den Rot- und Weisswein erleichtert dem Personal die Arbeit: Glas hinhalten u auf den Knopf drücken - ✅ . Vorteil ist allerdings, dass zumindest die Temperatur vom Wein stimmt.
Die Toilette ist verdreckt und obwohl alles neu zu sein scheint, fehlt die Toilettenbrille und es gibt weder einen Spiegel noch die geplante Beleuchtung. Da hängt einfach nur das Kabel aus der Wand.
Der demotivierte Verkäufer war froh, als wir das Weingut verlassen haben und hatte kein Interesse unsere Fragen zu den Rebsorten zu beantworten. Er bedient scheinbar lieber ahnungslose Touristengruppen oder zahlungskräftige Eventgäste.
Hier findet man keine ausgezeichneten Vulkanweine.
Dafür ist die Marketingfirma, die das Weingut berät, eine Auszeichnung wert!
