Really outstanding volunteer guides. The DH story is inspiring. Shame that simulators we're out of action but the Mosquito, 1934 racing Comet, jet airliner Comet and Horsa glider were fabulous.

A hidden gem. Some fascinating exhibits and stories about the De Havilland Aircraft Company and their diverse products including rhe Mosquito and the Comet. Their are some very dedicated volunteers and there is a clear sense of work being done to renovate future exhibits. Cafe facilities are a bit limited but the basics are covered.

A great experience. All of the volunteers were helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of historic aircraft on display, both civilian and military, including three mosquitoes. Even my partner who has no interest in aircraft found it to be fascinating and enjoyable!.

A really good museum that took us a little by surprise by how much there was to see. Great that it went BIG on the Mosquito, but they Comet stuff they had was also great and the volunteers were full of brilliant knowledge and shared it in a way that enriched out day. A really great morning.

Since this is a company museum it's not huge, but what is on view is top-notch, especially if you are a fan of the Mosquito. Many informative displays showing objects that you wouldn't normally think of but make your visit that much more interesting. Objects both inside and outside are in excellent condition and the museum is small enough to walk around comfortably.

I highly recommend getting here by car as the walk (see photos) from the no. 84 bus stop is long.

What a surprise. A really super museum; I was staggered to see 3 mosquitoes. And there was so much more!!
Only downside is the restaurant — the world’s worst sandwiches. The ultimate in ultra processed food.

We arrived around 12.30pm and from the moment that we arrived there are items of interest to see and plenty of friendly volunteers around to answer questions and chat about the museum and aviation in general, we went during Halloween half term and the museum had some Halloween themed activities for children which were much appreciated. Three Mosquitos in one place is an amazing sight in itself and the fact that one of them is the original prototype makes it very special and the accompanying displays and artifacts help to bring the story of these aircraft alive. The rest of the collection of DeHavilland aircraft, Rockets and engines in this collection is outstanding. Steps beside many of the airframes allowing you to view the inside of the cockpit is also great for children and adults. There was limited catering available during our visit but hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, Rustlers burgers, cakes and ice creams were. A museum well worth a few hours to wander around

I hadn't visited this museums up until now as it appeared to be small and not worth a trip to see it on it's own. How wrong I was! I recently visited the nearby Whitewebbs museum of transport (Also great see my review!) and decided to pop in here as well as they are close together. It's very easy to get to, situated just off the M25.

It's recently had a significant building upgrade with a big new exhibition hall to add to the existing ones which has given many more exhibits and indoor home. The result is a museum which is much bigger than it first appears and one that's packed with interesting aircraft. It starts with arguably the most famous De Havilland Aircraft, the Mosquito and the hall contains 3 complete aircraft including the prototype which has had an interesting history. In this hall you'll also find the remains of a Horsa Glider. Then you move into the new building which tells the story of Dehavilland as a company but also aviation as whole. There's an excellent Comet Fuselage which has been expertly restored. You then move outside to see various sectioned and complete aircraft from De Havilland's history and some from the legacy companies. You can climb aboard most of the large exhbits. As always with outdoor stored aircraft, they staff have to fight a battle with the elements to keep them in top condition but they do a great job. There are some further smaller buildings where aircraft are being restored including a lovely Dragon Rapide.

I'd recomend a visit if aviation is your thing and even non aviation enthusiasts should find themselves entertained. I'd love to see them raise enough funds to move the rest of the aircraft indoors.

Top tip: If you love all transport, visit on a day when the nearby Whitewebbs transport museum is open too and visit both the same day.

A genuine jewel of a place tucked up against the M25 motorway, so close I'd guess many might miss it. Learned so much. Superb staff who really know their stuff. Not the cheapest - £48 for two adults, one student and a 15 year old - but we all enjoyed our afternoon. Impossible to get round it all in the time we had, which probably means another visit is in order.
