There is a really good park with reasonably priced facilties. The land train and sand train are teally good for access from Haven Golden Sands. Good bus service from Golden Sands. Mablethorpe is a really nice place. The sand goes on for miles.

We used the train to travel from Haven Golden Sands down into Mablethorpe to save our legs walking!
£2/person isn’t too bad when you consider what it would cost in a taxi (if you could flipping get one, they seem to be like gold dust in mablethorpe) or on a regular bus even.
It doesn’t have a set timetable as such, so it’s more a case of wait at one of the stops until one turns up. The security guy on the barrier at Golden Sands told me that they don’t always run to time either, it’ll depend on demand at either end. We caught what turned out to be the last train of the day, so it stopped every few hundred yards at all of the different stops it used, so the guys could jump out & put their signposts on board, so it took a good bit longer than most journies! It then terminated up the side of the Jackson’s Amusements arcade, which is where I assume it is kept overnight.
Again, this last train was about 4:30pm, which seems very early… if they dressed the train up with lights or something, I’m sure they’d get trade later into the evening! 🤷🏻♀️
The chaps were very friendly. They offered information about how we could get back later, different bus numbers etc.
I agree with a previous reviewer that it really is quite stinky from the diesel fumes down the front 😷 maybe Jackson’s will join the electric vehicle revolution soon!

It is convenient especially if you're staying at the Haven site. That said, I think it is overpriced especially for kids, the website states £1 per trip for both adults and kids, and kids get a toy, however it's £2 per trip and kids get a lollipop. A tip, don't sit in the first carriage immediately behind the driver as you'll be exposed to the diesel fumes. My Grandson, however, loved it.

When on a day out with my two children and my mum took a ride from seal sanctuary to town, train says all children recieve a present, we went on train, none of the children got anything. My children are 10 so they don't care but children younger ,well if you're not going do what you say you're going do, cover that part up on the board

Was staying at the haven site and jumped aboard to go into Mablethorpe. Two pounds return can't argue with that. Really enjoyed it. Music on board for the little ones and it toots... Absolutely fab. Had me humming the Thomas tune all day. A must trip if staying at golden sands...
