Beautiful BUT be careful
des. 2019 • Par
Fatehpur Sikri is two separate parts, the 1st part is the residential quarters with very few visitors, the 2nd part is where the Mosque and other buildings are and it is open to the public. Be wary of those who convince you to buy something to offer to the Saint inside the white building. It's a tourist trap. We were lucky because we were able to get our money back but we have heard of those that were unconsciously ripped off.

House of dreams
des. 2019
It was the Royal Bed Room of Akbar and very nicely built elevated building standing on pillars. Had special space for personal meetings with his advisors and was directly connected to the royal harem and queens palaces through enclosed passages. Also has a library which boasted around 25000 manuscripts at that time according to Abul Fazl.

Dream Palace
des. 2019
Built using sandstone, this edifice is called khwabgah or dream palace. It was attached to the Dafter Khana or the office of the royal complest. The king’s room is located here along with beautifully decorated carved panels and murals of paintings depicting court wall. Admire the beauty of the lineage of Persian origin.

Khwabgah/Daulat Khana
The Dream Palace was constructed for the great Mughal King Akbar and there is also a bedroom, a personal library and a small bathroom. It is believed that the library or kutub Khana of Akbar had more than 25000 manuscripts along with his important official documents. It is said that Akbar's bedroom or Khilwatkada-I-Khas was connected to the Panch Mahal and the royal harem through an enclosed passage.

Interesting History
jul. 2018 • Familie
Khwabgah or the Dream Palace is one of the most beautiful building of the royal complex. It was conceived for the emperor's personal use. It has a separate room for the emperor to hold secrete official meetings with his nobles, Kutub khana or a personal library with a number of books and official documents, a small bathroom and the bedroom of Akbar. The double-storeyed red sandstone building is one of the most well planned buildings of Fatehpur Sikri. According to Mughal Historian Abul Fazl, there were about 25000 manuscripts in Akbar's library. The room behind Kutub Khana (Library) was used for secret meeting still has traces of some of the most beautiful paintings. This complex was also connected to the offices or the Daftar Khana of the royal complex. The bedroom known as Khilwatkada-i-Khas was surrounded by a pillared verandah with a stone-tiled sloping roof. It was connected to the imperial harem and Panch Mahal via a covered passage. The ground floor chambers are simple but the emperor's personal chamber on the first floor is pompously oramented using carved flat panels, beautiful murals depicting geometrical and floral patterns and painted designs. The mural paintings on the wall depict scenes from Mughal court, which have faded with time. Persian inscriptions in different colors are also used often praising the palace and comparing it with paradise. Just wonderful.

La casa de los sueños
sep. 2018 • Familie
100% Recomendable.
