Could not visit China Palace due to lack of tickets. I really wanted to see how the palace had changed since 2005, when I was there earlier. A very long walk in the grounds near the palace. It's transformed, it's very well maintained, but there are very few benches where you can sit and admire the beauty, there are no cafes or I just haven't met them, the tents don't count, but the prices are brutally predatory. Bring water and snacks, especially if you eat with your children. Wear comfortable shoes, as the transitions from one object to another are large. It was also striking that only one, at the entrance (exit), saw the layout of objects, navigating by arrows is not very convenient and easy to get confused. I haven't seen the charts of Oranienbaum's territory on paper, but I'm sorry.

Due to poor organization and strange pass system in Oranienbaum, people have to storm the entrance to the Grand Menshikov Palace. People are allowed in with 12-00 groups of 20, but not those who have a ticket, but one at a time 20 people with tickets, and then 10 minutes later 20 people without tickets! What did it lead to: yesterday, according to the employees' accounts, there was a fight at the entrance, today it almost came to her. People who buy a ticket online have to stand for 40 minutes and wait for the opportunity to enter the museum, and stowaways - go ahead of them. Museum officials say this pass system is a management directive. The end result is screaming, swearing and a spoiled impression.

Walked through the beautiful "Oranienbaum", which is a complex of palaces and parks of the 18th century. The ensemble is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The layout of the park is an example of landscape art from the 18th-19th centuries. It covers an area of 162 hectares. Anyone who likes aesthetics is welcome to visit. There was a lot of people, but it was possible to cram 😂 into depressed corners to be quiet.

The excursion “on a train” made a special impression. The excursion departs from the "Rolling Hill" pavilion and lasts 45 minutes. During the excursion we listened to an interesting story about the history of the residence and its inhabitants. The area of Oranienbaum Park is 165 hectares, it takes a long time to walk.....but here you drive, listen and enjoy. Highly recommend!!!! The excursion was prepared by top-class professionals!!! Thank you

Beautiful? Undoubtedly!
History + beauty = perfect combination.
However... it's far from cheap.
Entrance to the park 450 rubles per adult
Entrance to the roller coaster pavilion 400 rubles
Entrance to the Chinese palace 750 rub.
Entrance to the Great Menshikov Palace is another 750 rubles
Entrance to the Palace of Peter III 400 rub.
Total 2750 rubles per adult... this is very expensive. Especially for a family of 4
History + beauty = perfect combination.
However... it's far from cheap.

Double impression. We visit Peterhof every year a couple of times, but this is the first time we got to Oranienbaum. We ourselves live in St. Petersburg, we were thinking of going on a tour - the cost is 2400-2500 per person (there are no benefits for anyone), buses leave from the city center, and we live on the south, the road to the center is 30-40 minutes and to Oranienbaum is also 30-40 minutes We decided to go on our own, the child bought himself tickets using the Pushkin card (for those from St. Petersburg, please note)
So :
- there is no package at the main entrance, next to the Menshikov Palace. (You will have to leave the car in some bushes)
- at the checkout they warned (entrance 400 rubles) that excursion groups are formed until 13:30, then only at 15:30
- it was the beginning of two, naturally we ran to the palace, because the signs there are a TROUBLE (there are very few of them and in small print), and there are only bus groups from the main entrance! Those independent tourists should go past the toilets, go around the palace and buy tickets there (450 rubles)
- groups are formed only from 20 people
- if there are fewer people, go by yourself.
- audio guide available (for a fee), deposit 3 thousand rubles ONLY in cash
- the palace is small, the rooms are tiny, very stuffy. 20 people can fit in 🤦🏻♀️, optimally 10-15, but it’s not profitable for them.
And the bus groups are even larger 😏, in a word - tough.
Honestly, after Peregrof, the Catherine Palace, I don’t recommend it.
Then we decided to take a walk in the park.
Here it is beautiful, well-groomed - but not at all equipped, like Peterhof, where you can have a snack at every turn. We were really hungry. Our tour of the palace ended at 15:00.
The coffee machine near the palace is broken.
- we reached the Chinese Palace, we didn’t go inside anymore, we were oversaturated with spiritual food, we wanted normal, human food.😅
Then we decided to look for a way out, walked past the Rolling Hill, and there stood a lonely stall with ice cream and hot dogs, but it was no longer relevant to us.
Bottom line: you can go, just take a walk. The park is very beautiful 🥰 Stock up on water and snacks in advance. You don't have to go to the palace, but you can, especially if it rains and it's not hot. Parking is available from another entrance opposite the palace

Als buitenlander zijn de paleizen mooi, maar niet te vergelijken met een boel andere in Sint-Petersburg en omstreken, het grootste verschil echter dat
Hermitage is 500 roebel
Yusupov is 900 roebel
Dit park is om alles te kunnen zien 4100 roebel. De entree opzichzelf is al 800 roebel en dan kan je nog niet eens ergens in.
Het menshikovpaleis werkt ook met tijdsslotten, wat het allemaal nog vervelender maakt... Niets staat op de website van dit allemaal.

Любимое место для релакса. Погулять по дворцу, зайти в музей, а как только почувствуешь усталость - можно посидеть в парке между молчаливых деревьев, и подумать о жизни.

Направляясь в очередной раз в Петергоф, решили заехать в Ломоносов посетить Ораниенбаум. Тем более после визита в городской дворец Меншикова сравнить было интересно. Останавливаться пришлось прямо около трассы у картинного дома, правда удалось заехать по разбитой дороге чуть дальше в лесок, в основном машины бросают на обочине. С парковкой тут беда. Зато сейчас вход в парк бесплатный. Нижний сад полностью готов к зиме, весь подстрижен и укрыт лапником. Интересно посмотреть на лабиринт летом, так как даже сейчас проход сквозь кусты ещё поискать надо. Из минусов отсутствие навигации, указателей очень мало, парадная лестница дворца все ещё на ремонте, как и Каменное зало. Китайский дворец уже закрыт. А катальная горка закрывается в 16.30 осенью. Но все равно погулять приятно, посмотреть на Нижний пруд и зайти во дворец Меншикова,правда отстояв очередь.

Безусловно, народу меньше, чем в Петергофе, поэтому в парке гулять очень хорошо на майские праздники

На территории парка Ораниенбаума есть вольер, где гуляют несколько особей оленей. Находится в южной части парка рядом с Китайским дворцом.
Теплых помещений рядом я не заметила, поэтому в холодное время вероятно животных в этих вольерах не будет
