Gunnar's Aurora tour starts from the other side of the bridge so I would not advise you to stay in Hungeren because even other Aurora chasers depart from the center on the other side of that bridge and is quite a long way...

The tour with Gunnar was great, he indeed drove with us very far to make sure we really see the Aurora even in cloudy rainy October. But other Aurora tour cancelled on us on the day! So Gunnar is a safe booking.

Also Lofoten was very disappointing so much rain and clouds every 10 minutes, in 4 nights there we only had 2 hours of sunshine to walk around a little and take some photos...had booked Reine Rorbuer with ocean view to see the Aurora from room but you can forget it...even there you totally depend on such aurora chasers to take you out of the cloudy nasty weather to a better place...

i took flight from Lofoten Leknes to Oslo via Bodo and was very OK!!!

Lofoten Reine is very very beautiful and if you have money to stay at Reine Rorbuer (for example the Magnus Villa) was awesome. You better book on their website because if you book on Expedia you can't choose how the rooms will be, on the official website they have detailed pictures of every single cabin!

From Tromso you can fly over Bodo to Leknes and then hurry to take a taxi to the bus station and there the city bus towards Å or Reine, very beautiful stunning drive! however weather is really frustrating.
