We loved our overnight stay here. In the centre of a picturesque and friendly village it is in the grounds of a gated private property. We were welcomed and taken to one of the 6 rooms which were well appointed and furnished. Breakfast was a hot freshly cooked dish alongside a buffet bar. Spotlessly clean. Will visit again.

Had to find an overnight b and b recently when a pre booked venue let us down at very late notice. Luckily this venue had availability and boy are we glad that we were let down by our original booking elsewhere. Furnishing and decor very much on point for what is effectively high end accommodation. Breakfast the following morning was cooked to order and despite it being a full English, it was light and appetizing and everything but greasy. One of the best freshly cooked breakfasts I have had in years. The only downside for us was the soft mattress but that is just a personal preference and should not detract from what was a lovely stay. The local pub is about a 2 minute walk away as Well so double bonus on this venue! We have stayed elsewhere in this locality for slightly less than what we paid at Hemingford Lodge but I would happily say that the extra £15 pounds or so it is well worth the extra expense. There are also lovely walks along the river which is within a 2 min walk from here. All in all I highly recommend Hemingford Lodge and will stay here again in the future.

This is a wonderful find: a touch of sophistication in a very quiet village and set in lovely private grounds. This is a superior bed and breakfast and the owners have paid great attention to detail. Our room was spacious enough to share as a twin, and the bathroom was a real highlight. Decorated with taste and certainly not overdone, the room echoed the style of rest of the Lodge. The whole place has a Mediterranean feel, with light streaming in around the courtyard. A breakfast of ideal proportions is served at a long wooden kitchen table which you can share with other guests. Breakfast is cooked in front of you in a sociable and homely arrangement, with plenty of opportunities for friendly conversation, but never intrusive. There are plenty of good eateries - even within walking distance, and it's a great base for visiting the area around Cambridge.

I thoroughly recommend this perfect place to stay. The warmest of welcomes, the cleanest and smartest of rooms and decoration throughout it is simply first class. A fabulous breakfast made the stay excellent from every angle. Close to St Ives, it's a super place to use as a base for this part of the UK

Stayed here more or less 'at random' when I was looking for a place to stay for one night in the catchment area of my new house, the night before I moved in. My top priority was that it allowed pets for no extra charge which was excellent as I wanted to bring my pets along and ensure they had a comfortable stress free experience while our house move was underway. This fitted the bill and although not the cheapest, I felt it was worth paying the extra for how nice it looked and having read the great reviews already left. I met Liz upon arrival who told me everything I needed to know and was more than welcoming and friendly. My room "Yew" was beautiful - everything felt new, clean and very high quality. Lovely fixtures and fittings, real attention to detail for a homely and comfortable stay. Large and spacious room with a king bed, free wifi, very nice bathroom, desk, big comfy window seat, freeview TV, great coffee and tea facilities & everything else you could possibly want, including bathrobes! :) Liz was very flexible about breakfast options - offering to basically serve whatever I wanted, at a time that suited me - and she arranged for me to have it in my room due to my pets not being able to come in the dining room. Car parking was no problem onsite (my car was right outside my bedroom window) and the area itself was beautiful and quiet. This also enabled me to take my dog out to the loo or a for walk around the grounds at various intervals. My late check out was also kindly accommodated. Can't ask for more for a luxurious, quiet, picturesque place to stay - found by accident, but would return! PS - This had the comfiest bed in the WORLD - so much so that I needed to ask what kind of mattress it is so I can get one myself!
